It was quite and experience at Cafe Gratitude. I am personally a meat eater and this place was a completely organic, sort of vegan, all raw except for rice and these oats stuff, unprocessed food place. It was interesting. The food was very delicous and their desserts are amazing to look at to eat, but I have to say that I was quite sad that after spending $20 I did not feel full and spent the rest of the night in hunger because I didn't want to spend any more money. The ambiance is very new age/hippie...the water was very yummy for some reason and the service was very polite and friendly...So this place is great if you're into this kinda thing...but for you omnivores/carnivores out there...please beware...

Berkland Baptist Church is a great place to come and find about the truth about Chrisitianity. Whether you are a believer or are just curious, Berkland creates an environment where anyone could feel comfortable learning and questioning. They have a really great fellowship with one another and they are very warm and welcoming to anybody. Go check it out if you've been looking for a church or if you have some burning questions you need answered.

I did learn a lot about chocolate but the tour was pretty short and the nature of the tour made us start and end in the gift shop...so you kinda feel the pressure to get something. They do give you free samples on the tour, so if you have an hour to kill and get some free chocolate, go ahead and check it out.

I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled out a while back and I was really scared to get it done here and not with my home dentist. But I found these guys after doing some research online and they were really great. The first visit, they explained to me the whole proceedure, gave me my estimate and asked me if I still wanted it done...The surgery itself was great too...he didn't give me any stitches because he didn't find it necessary...i bled only for a day and had no swelling despite the fact i had all four taken out at the same time...i think i was eating solid foods again by day 3

My friend recently took me to Venus on Shattuck and oh man, are their breakfast items delicious. They have these things called Luxury Flaps for weekend brunch and they have fresh strawberry syrup with fresh strawberry butter. I was in heaven. She tells me that dinner ain't that great, but man if you have a chance, check this place out for brunch. Prices are a little high for a student's budget, but I think its worth it.

The food is pretty pricey by berkeley lunch standards...and there wasn't a lot of it. The service was very fast and friendly. and they did a very good job at packing everything up separately and carefully so they wouldn't spill (I ordered take out). The food was good but there are better and cheaper places in berkeley.

The burritos were good, but compared to the ones I can get on Telegraph or College...they just really don't compare. They're not all that big...They're pretty expensive...and you have to get everything separately (gaucamole...sour cream...etc) I have to say that I would rather get my burritos at La Fiesta or La Burrita...The ambiance is pretty good though. I felt more comfortable there. But I go to resturants for the food...and if that doesn't meet up...then i can't approve.

My friends and I went down to Cafe do Brasil this past weekend...an all you can eat brazilian bbq experience. It was awsome. The food was very yummy, although some cuts of beef were very tough. For the most part, the BBQ was very juicy and succulent. The food was brought directly to our table. The service was a bit slow and it was difficult to communicate with the staff...but they tried to be as friendly as possible. I only wished that they had brought the meat out faster and more consistently, but for my first brazilian bbq experience, it was great.

Steve's is one of my favorite places to go to get food becase 1) it is decently priced 2) they give you a LOT of food 3) they have some of the best soft tofu soup around...it's kinda interesting...
Steve's is one of my favorite places to go to get food becase 1) it is decently priced 2) they give you a LOT of food 3) they have some of the best soft tofu soup around...it's kinda interesting that the food is prepared by a group of latino guys...but hey man...they know what they're doing. their food is very yummy and very satisfying...the place is kinda dirty, but what can you expect being located in asian ghetto...great food.

Their style is more paskistan/indian than strictly indian. I think this place used to be another Naan and Curry but maybe they got new owners? I don't know. The service was very friendly and helpful and the food arrived very quickly. I love their milk tea. And if you do get a chance to go there, you really must try their dessert bars. They have some of the most interesting flavors...
