And I'm not exaggerating. I bought my cat Amos a pack of 4 foam balls from Petco. Within a week he was at the emergency vet having surgery to remove a piece of the ball, which easily tore apart...
And I'm not exaggerating. I bought my cat Amos a pack of 4 foam balls from Petco. Within a week he was at the emergency vet having surgery to remove a piece of the ball, which easily tore apart and was eaten. Our vet bill was $1500, which makes those the most expensive deadly toys ever.
Petco will never receive another DIME of my money. I do plan to send them a copy of my bill, to see if they will compensate us in any way. We're not holding our breath...

I am so very thankful for Dr. Phillips at Northgate Vet. My cat ate part of a foam ball that I bought at Petco (boo for Petco) and we were forced to take him in for surgery. I was a crying mess...
I am so very thankful for Dr. Phillips at Northgate Vet. My cat ate part of a foam ball that I bought at Petco (boo for Petco) and we were forced to take him in for surgery. I was a crying mess the whole time during our initial appointment, and Dr. Phillips was reassuring and calming for me and for Amos (my kitty).
Amos received the very best of care, and I'm happy to report that he's home and recovering quickly.
If you need care for your pet, I will forever sing the praises of Northgate Veterinary Clinic.

This place is hard as heck to find, and parking is almost impossible. We drove around for at least an hour looking for parking we didn't have to pay for. Come with at least $10 cash to pay at one of the lots.
Once we got inside we were really taken aback by the seriously trendy, mod, minimalist decor. We're talking all white, plastic furniture. Then along one wall there's what looks sort of like a sheer movie screen where they were playing kung-fu movies with no sound. They had a DJ mixing beats. Cool club atmosphere, but not ideal for quiet romantic dining.
The food, however, was excellent. We didn't exactly "venture out" as much as we could have, but the food was really excellent.
I don't think we'd go back, because the atmosphere wasn't quite our scene... but the food was worth the trip (mostly).

Their cakes are not only gorgeous but also totally delicious. Moist, not too much frosting, great flavor selections. If you want a gorgeous wedding cake that tastes fab, this is where to go.

I do love IKEA though. They have extremely reasonable (and some of it high quality) furniture, and this is a great selection for cheap frames.

Their selection is very high-end and all of their stuff is gorgeous, just a little too pricey for my blood.
