Okay, I'll admit it. I try to stay away from all things fried, but if I'm going to indulge, Ezell's is a favorite. Their chicken is really great, and I love supporting them because their owners are so nice. The owner would drop by bags and bags of fried chicken to one of my past places of employment... it was a mad dash to get as much as you could!

Ugh, I don't know why I even try anymore with the Cheesecake Factory. The wait is always at LEAST 30 minutes. Then, once you get to your table, you're given a 10 page menu, complete with advertisements, and a ton of options. This might be good for some people, but I prefer a menu with a few items that are excellent, opposed to a long list of of choices which aren't great.
The portion size is laughable... literally, I laughed at the size of my pasta dish. And the service. It's hit or miss, but when you miss, it really sucks.
Go someplace else.

Now I have already admitted how much I love the zoo. The aquarium? Not so much. Unfortunately the exhibits at the aquarium seem to be seriously lacking. I love the otters, so that's where I spend most of my time when I go. There are fish, eels, octupus, etc. but I really don't see the Seattle aquarium as anything special.

Now that I'm out of my teens, I don't feel there's a lot for me at Gameworks. Centrally located in downtown Seattle, Gameworks is a mecca for teenagers looking to play games and hook up with each other. There are tons of games, with a bar and restaurant upstairs.
I think I'll pass.

Teatro Zinzanni is a zany, outlandish experience complete with delicious food. Tom Douglas designed the menus for Teatro, which explains why the food is so dang good. They cater to both meat-eaters and vegetarians, which I was thankful for during my vegetarian phase.
The entire evening is well choreographed, complete with embarrasing diners and mid-air acrobatics. Their drinks are out of this world; I've never had a better lemon drop.
It's expensive, so treat yourself!

Okay, I'll admit it. I love going to the zoo. And when I say I love it, I mean that I'd be happy to go there at least once a month. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention that I'm in my mid-twenties. I need to hurry up and have kids so it doesn't seem so weird!!
This is a huge zoo which is constantly undergoing improvements and renovations. The animals seem happy and have great habitats in which to live. There are indoor and outdoor exhibits. One of my favorites is the butterfly exhibit, which is so magical.
In the summer they have concerts here and you can lounge and dine on the lawn.

I always get so excited when the film I want to see is playing at the Cinerama. The HUGE screen makes it feel like much more of an experience than going to the normal theatre. The only drawback is that they only play one film at a time, and often for very long spans of time. So if you've already seen say, Chronicles of Narnia, you likely won't be back for a few months until they change flicks.
Regardless, make a point to visit the Cinerama. It's fabulous!

My husband and I have very different tastes in music, but KEXP suits us both. The DJ's are great, very low-key and the music they play varies widely. We've been introducted to many new bands through KEXP, which is great. I'm always so thankful for non-commercial radio. Who has time to listen to that?!

My husband and I went to Torero's on Broadway last night for dinner. It was a toss up between Torero's and Cocina and Cantina across the street. Needless to say, we made the wrong choice. The food was greasy and not great. Although my husband enjoyed his Arroz con Pollo, my enchilada was definitely mediocre. The service was almost non-existent and the ambiance left something to be desired.
We won't be back.

I have had to put myself on a strict Jamba Diet. Only 1x week! I would go every day if I could, but the cost really adds up. The staff at the U Village location is always friendly and nice. I love the Strawberry Surfrider, no peaches substitute strawberries. Mmm, fruity goodness. And the sourdough parmesan pretzels are yummy, too!
