Firmly planted in Seattle's Capitol Hill district, the 1200 has a predominantly gay clientèle. In this instance, some stereotypes are true: they have impeccable taste. The bar is well stocked and well managed, and the first thing that one sees when entering. The restaurant serves freshly made Italian dishes, artfully presented and masterfully prepared. If everyone there hadn't have been so well mannered and sharply dressed, I would have been tempted to lick my plate, which I don't advise for this venue except under certain special circumstances.
