This is one of my favorite restaurants in Morningside Heights. It's hidden in the middle of W 113th St. between Broadway and Amsterdam on the south side. The food is very good, as is the sangria and the service. Get the flaming cheese (I think it's called Saganaki) which is brought out by a waiter who shouts "Opa!", and wait a few moments before extinguishing the flames with the provided lemon wedges. Not so sure they actually do this in Greece, but it's fun nonetheless.

Hold onto your wallet and bags as you try not to interact with the interesting people scattered throughout the terminal. Don't forget to go through the security checkpoint before getting on the bus - you may not even know that the mobile counter is the security checkpoint until they start yelling at people for not stopping. Not exactly first class, but especially if you catch a sale it'll get you where you need to go for cheap...if all goes well.

I got two keys copied here. One worked, but the other one didn't work at all. I brought it back and they 'fixed' the key, but it still wouldn't turn in the lock. I gave up after that and went to another locksmith in the area. It may have been an isolated incident, but you may have better luck at another locksmith in the area.

I had really high hopes for this place when it first opened. It was clean, bright, and conveniently located near Columbia University. But the prices are ridiculously high. I rather just order food online from FreshDirect for less and have it delivered to my door instead of overpaying and dealing with the grumpy employees and aisles so narrow that you have to hope no one comes in the other end before you make it through. It's fine for the basics like milk and bread, but stay away for large shopping trips.

As a pizza fanatic, I can honestly say that Sal and Carmine make the best pizza I've ever had. The crust has the right consistency, and the cheese and sauce are fresh. All other pizza pales in comparison. Don't even try calling up for delivery - it won't happen, so you're going to have to come uptown and get a slice from either Sal or Carmine, one of whom has been there every time I've gone in. A mouth-watering slice will cost you more than at other pizzerias, but it's well worth the extra change.
