Boston Limousine provides car service to and from any location in the Greater Boston Metro and the suburbs beyond. Their website provides for convenient online booking and removes the hassle of what may sometimes be a lengthy wait over the telephone. I have mixed sentiments about the service. Most drivers are prompt, courteous, pleasant, and professional although this is not always the case. The price is comparable to other services in the Boston area but their are less expensive companies so it may be beneficial to the cost-conscious to shop around. Bay Transportation offers a slightly less expensive option though not equal in quality of service.

I've heard quite a bit about Crazy Dough's and admittedly I have yet to sample it. Beyond pizza, however, Crazy Dough offers other items of the italian variety in terms of fare that are more than satisfying. I ordered penne pasta which is delicious. The sauce was made with real plum tomatoes instead of a paste base and topped with a heaping of mozzerella chesse. Perfect with there chicken parmesan. As a simple conclusion to a tasty meal, their home baked chocolate chip cookies tasted like they were freshly baked, straight from the oven with mom's own loving touch. Delivery was quick, and the driver pleasant.

Cardullos truely is the best choice for gourmet and imported foods. The DeLucas chain offers convenience with its multiple locations but can not boast the finds that Cardullo has to offer. Among my favorites are the ffresh fois gras and French brie with water crackers and the Leonidas Pralines belgium chocolate flown in weekly from Belgium. A wide variety of other imported sweets are available, Perugina hard candies among them - a tugh find in Boston. The deli offers an array of imported deli meats beyond pate as well as cheeses and provides sandwiches created to taste for the busy Harvard clientele. By comparsion to other gourmet shops or restaurants, the prices are reasonable making Cardullos worth a trip off your normal path.

From its less than savory regulars and lack of atmosphere, to its bad design and layout, to its average fare for those cravings during alchohol consumption, The Place has very little to offer. There are one maybe, two television screens for viewing sports as you look to quench your thirst after work and a limited bar selection to do just that. The bartenders are pretty and friendly so for the guy who needs nothing more than a miller or an amstel The Place will do but there are definitely other options in the vicinity if beer consumption is the only goal and that some kind is available the only requirement.

I agree with the consensus in Boston as to the general feel and clientele of Vox. Patrons tend to be a mix of the aspiring YITs (short for Yuppies in Training) and the Not Quite Fashionistas who are looking to commune among the younger set yet to make a splash on the social scene. The alchohol is abundant and the banter less than witty as the younger GEN Y seek out the perfect accessory companion to cultivate their trendy urban image.
While the venue is entertaining for the avid people watcher fascinated by my generations inability to learn art of flirting and foreplay, for diners like myself perpetuately in search of the perfect haven for the discerning palette Vox leaves everything to be desired as to its creations. The constantly changing menu rarely improves despites a quarterly attempt to see if the kitchen has changed. One item I do like is the lobster crepe if that has not yet disappeared from the rather sparce array of options as well.
If considering dessert, it's best if a change of venue is made as there is no word to describe the poor quality of their desserts, at one time the menus only saving grace.

DeLuca's offers what your local grocery store or convenience store never will, variety beyond the American brand names. For the health conscious, there are a variety of organic products from peanut butter, jellies, and preserves, to milk and eggs to breads. For those who favor sweets of the import variety there is always swiss chocolate like Lindt in stock. There is a larger selection of bottled waters with and without flavoring as well as real entrees at the deli and fresh fruit when you don't quite have the time for anything more complicated.
The entrees are hit or miss as to taste but usually are better than edible and can be as good as quite tasty.
DeLuca's is not inexpensive but typically worth the extra penny.

There's nothing like deep dish chicago style pizza and Uno's is the original transplanted from the Midwest. I can remember when there was Gino's East here too, another Chicago creation that became a franchise and found its way here to Bean town but that was in years passed and is now but a memory.
Back to Uno's, the reason I prefer Uno's to Pizzeria Regina besides the generous heapings of cheese and other toppings is the crust. Uno's pizzas come with a buttercrust as do most pan pizza chains in the Windy city. There's something to that added slight butter taste in a thick crust that's got substance without the dead weight. I have yet to ever have an Uno's pizza that did not have the crust done to perfection, plus the pizza.
Always a favorite. If you don't feel like going out, Diningin.com offer online ordering and delivery for an additional charge

Everyone knows the name Ben & Jerry's. And no one will debate how delicious its ice cream is or the originality and multitude of options in flavors. Least of all me. But the pure pleasure of eating Ben & Jerry's comes at a price. Close to $5 per scoop. Almost the cost of a pint at Shaw's market next to Copley Square. If cost is not an issue that Ben & Jerry's is the way to go. If it is then Shaws.
Added note, the service is not always great in the Prudential Center food court, plus the store closes early and always the annoyance of dealing with the mall and its clientele. There's another location on Newberry Street one block over. Just a thought.

Tucked away in Brookline near the Public Library and the Police Station, Village Fare is the perfect place for your less than healthy American junk food cravings. A step of from you fast food chain, like any other neighborhood corner hut it offers the full range of pizza, chicken, oven grinders, gyros, fries, onion rings with relative fresh brownies, cookies and baklava to boot. The grease level is sufficient to satisfy those cravings without worrying about cardiac arrest the minute you leave the establishment. It has the feel of your local hangout but without being overrun by teens. An added plus, they deliver.

If you live in Back Bay you are probably well aware of the general lack of onsite laundry in most buildings and the inconvenience and scarcity of laundry mats. Bush Cleaners on Newberry St. offers pick-up, laundry service, ironing and folding and then delivery for a fee which is usually $10-15 per load. The no hassle is a nice solution to the problem described but that's where the selling points to Bush Cleaners ends.
First off the staff are rude both over the telephone and in person. Second, clothes both laundry and dry cleaning appear to simply be "freshened" and not actually laundered or alternately return with a chemical scent that never dissipates. Worst of all, clothes often disappear.
Convenience vs quality of service, since part of the joy in the morning is doning fresh newly cleaned clothes I'm going to go with quality.
