Pizza Pit has got to be one of my most favorite places to eat when I go home to Iowa and we pass through Ames on the way to my Mom's. It stirs up all the memories of late night studying in the dorms and parties at the "Pit" with my friends.
The food is always hot and of good quality whether you have it delivered or eat in. The sauce has good flavor and they don't skimp on the cheese. The also have good coupon deals. My favorite pizza from the pizza is sausage, onion, mushroom and green pepper. Although their Deluxe combo is good too.

My boyfriend told me about Frobergs and it's truly the best place in the Bay Area to get Fresh Fruits and Veggies. The produce is high quality and there is a wide variety. Just make sure you get there earlier in the day since I did happen to go there late in the afternoon one day and the pickings were pretty slim.
The prices cannot be beat. I've seen a significant reduction in my food bill because I can get veggies here at a much lower price than I can at any of the area stores.

My first trip to Behold the Beauty happened after I won a free haircut with the Salon's owner during a health fair. Norma took the time to talk with me about my hair and its particular problems. She recommended product to help deal with my fine, thin hair and gave me a great cut. She had to order the product I needed, but it was there within a few days.
My subsequent trips to the salon have been great. I'm always greeted and even though I've been there just a few times, the staff remembers me. I've seen a huge improvement with my hair since I started using the recommended products. Its fuller, healthier, and not so thin since the regimine Norma recommended has helped some of my hair regrow.
The only down side is if I ever stop working downtown, how will I get my hair cut since she is only open M-F. Behold the Beauty is located in the green arm of the tunnel system in downtown Houston.

The last time I went to get a bra I went to Foley's and then went to a La De Da Lingere shop where I was custom fitted. There was a huge difference in what Foley's said I was, and what I ended up in.
Foley's Said I was a 52B based on what I measured. I've NEVER been a freaking B cup in my life. I knew the woman at foley's did not know what the heck she was talking about. The gal at Foley's recommended I go to La De Da Lingerie and get fitted. The gal at the bra shop said NEVER go by measuring - You need to find a bra that supports you and fits properly. The support is very important because your breast tissue can break down if you don't have proper support. I ended up in a Goddess Bra. and when I left the shop I felt a hundred times better. The new bra helped support the roll I have under my arms and actually gave me a waist that I didn't have before . You could see a huge difference in my shape and figure (yes the girls were more perky and I felt curvy instead of fat) and for the first time in my life, my straps did not slide down my shoulders. I highly recommend going to La-De-Da the price is higher, but the personalized service and expertise more than make up for it.

While most of the time the food is pretty good here, there are times when the consistency of the product varies from what you've come to expect. My favorite item is the value meal #5 (Nacho Supreme with a Taco Supreme) and sometimes they include green onion on it sometimes they don't. The last couple of times I've asked to White onion on my refried beans and they haven't put it on. So I feel like they don't pay attention to the customer.
The one time I've actually gone into the store, they were short staffed (it was the weekend) and I had to wait for the food. I heard the manager complaining that no one wants to work on the weekends. Last time I checked the manager set the tone for the store.

Mely's is mexican food at its best in the League City area. It's been a constant in my life since I moved down here two years ago.
Their green sauce is great. It has a nice creaminess that offsets the little bit of heat that is present. My favorite dish to get at Mely's is the Pollo Poblano (Chicken with Poblano peppers). Its flavorful and always cooked to perfection. My friends who have eaten there have enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, and the Alex's Supper which serves two.
Their ultimate margaritas are the best if you like frozen margaritas. They do not skimp on the Tequila Antiqua. There's a shot poured over the frozen mix as well as a small shot tube in the center of the drink. Two of these are more than enought to get you buzzed.
The service is always good and I haven't had to wait when I've gone there.

I've tried the Kung Poa Chicken, Orange Peel Beef, General Tso's Chicken, Thai basil chicken and have enjoyed all these spicy dishes. They also make a great crab puff and their hot and sour soup has the right blend of spicy and sweet.
The restuarant is one of the cleanest I've seen around this area. The floor is always swept and tables are quickly bused. I've had good service most of the times I have been there (there's been a couple times where the waiter wasn't quite as attentive as I've expected, but someone always picks up the slack).
This restuarant is by far the best place to get chinese food in the area.

I've been using South Shore Massage Center for well over a year. This is the only spa in the Bay area that I have found a consistent level of excellent service. They have a broad menu of services to choose from. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Services I've experienced there include sugar scrubs, algea wraps, massages (relaxation/deep tissue/ a combo of both), facials, and waxing. Prices are reasonable and there are packages available.
The Sugar Scrub/1 hour massage combination will leave you feeling fantastic and blissed out for a full day.
