I love the Ballard Market for many reasons. It is run by a wonderful family that really cares about it's employees. There are a couple other branches in Mill Creek and Poulsbo but this one is my fave. The food is fresh and they have a wonderful organic selection. You can really see the focus of their store in every department, from the beautiful cheeses to the all natural, sugar-free (yet delicious) pastries to the wine selection. They are a lot more friendly and knowledgeable than any other chain store. Most of their staff have been there for a long time and really take pride in their store. However, I must say the absolute best thing about this store is that it is really close to the fire department and on hot summer nights, some of them come in with little t-shirts on!
