I love walking down to Bulldog news on my breaks from work. Sitting in the café with a cup of coffee and reading a magazine is heaven during a hard day. You can pretty much find any magazine you want here. Its also nice because you can watch the news on the flat screens. During the summer they have awesome fresh squeezed lemonade and it goes great with a nice read.

I used to go to Borseno's when I was a student at UW. I LOVED this place. I got a haircut and an experience all in one. THis place is so cool! I love the mullet pics all over the walls and the stylists are laid back and good at what they do. When I couldn't afford much I would go here to get my hair trimmed. A couple of the stylists were trained at Gene Juarez and had decided to shift jobs. They charge 20.00 for women's cuts and around $10-15 for guys.

I don't know what I would do without my hair stylist at Gene Juarez in Northgate Mall. It has taken me a long time to find someone that I trust to take good care of my hair. This salon makes you feel pampered right when you walk through the door. They offer you any kind of drink you like and treat you like a queen. Everyone is extremely courteous. Jordan, my stylist, listens to everything I want and does an amazing job. I go to this salon because they don't charge as much as they would downtown. My hair cut usually costs about $50.

Every time I set foot into this store I want to go climb a mountain, hike a trail, sky down a big slope, or take up golf! I just LOVE this store. Its a little on the expensive side but its an adventure just to go in and browse. The store is beautiful in its architecture and I love the woodsy feel of it. I bought a packpak there for a trip to Mexico and it was on sale for 1/2 off. When they have sales and you are in need of equipment take a trip down to check it out. Its worth it!

This is a great store for clothes and gifts. The clothes have great style but a little on the smaller side. If you have curves like me you might want to avoid the pants. My favorite items at this store are the t-shirts and the little nicknack's they get in every once in awhile. I purchased two awesome bobble heads of Chich and Chong for a friend and he loves them. One year my boyfriend bought me the figurines from A Christmas Story and I love them!

SUBS is a great place to get a good hearty sandwich. The bread is so soft and baked to perfection. I love the honey wheat. They also prepare it to your liking with whatever spices or meat of your choosing. These sandwiches are huge so if your a light eater I suggest getting a half. The atmosphere is really mellow and laid back. You order, sit on a stool, read a paper, and wait for your awesome sandwich. I recommend going before or after lunch time. They get slammed during the afternoon.

Yes, Dick's has one of the most juiciest greasy burgers and fries that I have ever had. This place is awesome for those nights when you have consumed A LOT of beer. Its usually open really late and the parking lot is always packed. This is not a place for people who are health conscious or want to watch their figures. I only go here every once in awhile because its so bad for you. But I cant resist sometimes because its so good.

I love the different options you can buy in the wine glass department and their decorative items aren't too bad as well. I usually purchase things here for friends who are just moving and need some house warming gifts. The staff here are very patient and willing to order items if they aren't in stock.

I love browsing through this store, especially during Christmas. They have the most amazing Christmas tree ornaments. I haven't seen any like them in any other store. This store carries a lot of different art items from lamps to little nicknack's. Its a fun store to just get lost in during the day when you have time. During Christmas it can get pretty busy due to their unique ornaments so beware.

I cant stand Buffalo Exchange. I have some friends that LOVE it and I have some that feel the same way I do. The only items I have been able to purchase are shoes. One of my friends has the same complain that shoes are the only things she can find in this store that seem to match her needs. I have brought items to sell here and when the clerks are looking it over you feel like you are involved in some kind of popularity contest. I have instant flashbacks to high school when all the trendy popular girls would walk by, look me up and down and shake their heads in disgust. Not a good feeling. However some people LOVE it here and its worth checking it out to see if it fits your style.
