Start off with a caesar to share with your partner or the lump crabmeat crabcake appetizer. It will take a lot to pull you away from the parmesan popover that arrives at the table. Move on to either the filet (requesting "chef's preference" brings you a thoroughly pink filet with so much juice, you will use your napkin throughout) or the Kobe filet - both portions may be split if you aren't feeling ravenous...these cuts are LARGE. I enjoyed both the bernaise and 3 pepper sauces for the meat. Grilled asparagus, parmesan gnocchi or any kind of potato are great sides to split.
One can eat well (with a glass or two of wine) for about $85 per person. Don't be afraid to share a starter, a main or a dessert as having a full three course meal with make you loosen your zipper.

Do not come to this Serafina expecting the same experience as the UES or downtown...expect to be bumped by servers or other patrons as the two-top tables are too close to one another. The crowd varies - some are hotel guests, some are theater-goers, some just look lost as they gaze at the Fellini movies screened in the back room and on the bathroom floor. The food wasn't up to par for me - wilted lettuce and undercooked ravioli. Even in a pinch, I will try to skip this location of the popular Italian eatery.

I am not a huge fan of vintage goods (the idea of someone else's dirt near me, despite numerous cleanings, freaks me out), but Screaming Mimi's is a fun place to peek through every so often. They have a great selection of shoes and men's belts.
You will be able to find items in a rainbow of colors from every decade of the past 100 years.
Please remember, just because it is used doesn't mean it is cheap. You might need to bring your plastic along with you.

It is an okay burger - you will fill up at least. There is a large selection, but in the end it is just a cross between a diner and a theme restaurant (without the cool factor of either) - just a place to grab a bite to eat.

I have a bit of a problem with this 6th Avenue store. I waited almost 15 minutes for the shoes I wanted to try on and the store was only half-full. Perhaps they don't have enough staff?

I especially like the women's shoe section. I have found some great Cynthia Rowley's there for a fraction of the price of a regular department store.

I love BCBG. Although I usually purchases these clothes at department stores, I recently went into the Madison Avenue store to look at spring dresses (wedding season coming up). I was delighted by my options. Somehow these dresses that look very slim fit the curvy girl that I am. They are high quality and clean nicely.
I never feel out of style in a well-made BCBG dress and my wallet still has some cash left in it after a shopping trip!

The theatres are The Acorn, The Beckett, The Clurman, The Kirk, The Lion & The Studio Theatre.
The rehearsal & audition studios are ADA-compliant and may be rented by the hour, day or week.
Check reservations to be sure that you lead yourself to the right theatre inside the complex - you might want to leave yourself a little extra time before curtain.
