Everything's Comin' Up Rose's

Friday, March 10, 2006
Rose's offers cabaret upstairs and piano bar downstairs -- the musical/standards lover's dream. You may be taking a chance on the cabaret show (new acts can be hit or miss here...worth the price of admission most of the time), but the piano bar always seems to be a hit. As with all piano bars, the mood is set by the crowd. I have not been disappointed here, but I have heard it is not everyone's cup of tea. I find the players to be very talented (some of the staff could pipe down on their harmonies -- I nearly had an eardrum blown out by a waitress/bartender last time I was there). Pop in when you are in the Christopher Street area and decide if after one drink you want to stay for the evening.
