I needed some supplies for a play I was putting on that weekend. All I can say is that I was glad Home Depot was close by; it made my production so much easier to get off the ground.
What is nice about most Home Depots is that they are set up pretty much the same. So, once you get use to one and you are across town and stop in another one -- you'll be able to find stuff.

I grew up with the YMCA. It was a blast. I learned to swim, make friends and help other people.
Today, they have an excellent sports programs for kids. And I hear a wonderful summer camp for kids during the weekdays from 7:30 to 6:00.
You can see the work out room from 21st and W Streets as you drive down the street.
The pool is inside and enormous. I learned to swim here as a child and the high dive was the first one I jumped off.

Some kids from my daughter's school went to this aquarium and felt it wasn't all that great.
Although, I have a racquet ball friend who took her boyfriends grandson to this place and they loved it. She said it was a great way to spend some time with a little one, looking at fish.
It's right of Capitol City Freeway, take the P street exit from the east or take the T street exit from the west off I-99.

If you are visiting Sacramento or if you live here, you gotta go to this Museum. Visitors will love all the real trains that the kids and parents can aboard and actually feel what it was like to be on the train way back when.
You also learn about the history of the railroad which plays a big part of Sacramento and the growth of California.
If you live here, it's best to get a family membership. Then, you can come to the museum as often as you like without paying a constant entrance fee.
The air conditioning makes it worthwhile during the summer.

One of Old Sacramento's main stay shops. This kite shop is fun to check out and look at all the different kites. I don't thing you can find a place around old town to fly them though. Except down by the train museum I believe there is a little bit of space and grass.
Kids love this place. If you are just going to the kite store not to tour old town. Try to park on the street not the parking lot, although the parking lot which is near the Capital Bridge is right on top of the kite shop.

He said let's meet at the Pancake Circus for breakfast. Okay. I did. I was hesitant because more than ten years ago I had seen a cockroach on their counter.
But, I didn't see any this time. I still did have anything to eat while we discussed business.
This establishment has been a main stay for many, many years. It use to be open for dinner too. Now, they close after lunch.

My daughter loves to come here and get a cookie and slur pee. I would never eat such things, but my daughter loves 'em, so she gets 'em every now and then.
At time the people who work there are on top of it. Other times, they are not so on top of it. They seem to be more into quick service when it's busy.
My daughter likes the Elmo cookie but they don't always have him there -- then we get the chocolate chip -- the mini ones are good for small kids.

The place looks old and has quite a character to it; but people frequent the place. It looks like a crowd comes at lunch time.
The Trap is probably best described as a dive.

Look for the 20% Off coupons that come in the mail or you might see in the paper. These coupons are great to use when there is a sale or other bargains happening.
People who work there are okay. I pretty much deal with the clerks. A lady helped me once with a bridal register gift question. That was nice. It didn't get resolved but she tired real hard.
