Cheap, but unreliable

Sunday, May 21, 2006
There are two good things about Greyhound -- it goes everywhere and it's cheap. The bad things though can easily outweight the good -- it's highly unpredictable --busses breakdown, go off schedule and detour all the time) and you're in cramped quarters with people you might wish you weren't. I wouldn't recommend it for trips over 8 hours (I did 54 hours to Texas once), and I'd encourage you to plan well with snacks, headphones and distraction.
