This is a lovely Upper East Side bistro. As such, it's quite popular. I strongly suggest reservations, mainly because people rarely think to make them and it will help you ease your way past the crowd to the front of the line. The service is good here, although occassionally too familiar (I hate when waiters are a bit too chatty at formal or even semi-formal restaurants) and the crowd is more civilized than at most UES restaurants.
