Jin Ju serves authentic Korean food, although the interior is trendier than most Korean restaurants. They also serve good soju cocktails. One complaint is that the restaurant can get really loud. Also, our waiter was nice but forgetful and distracted. We had to repeatedly flag him down for drink requests.

Joe's Stone Crab is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. The star of this place are the king crab legs and stone crab claws. Seafood doesn't get any better than this. Another standout is the bone-in filet mignon - juicy and perfectly aged. The sides are also fantastic, especially Jennie's potatoes. Another bonus of this restaurant are the waitstaff. They're knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing.

Ping Pong is a tiny restaurant with only a few tables. The reason while you'll often find a line out the door is the good food. They offer a lot of Chinese entrees, but delve into other Asian cuisines as well, such as Thai. The menu is very extensive, and the place is BYOB, so it's a great way to save cash on drinks.

The Capital Grille has the best filet mignon I've ever tasted. That being said, I was a little disappointed with everything else. The mashed potatoes were dry and a bit mealy. My house salad was a plate of uninspired greens that was doused in dressing. The lobster bisque was acceptable, but a bit bland. I would return for the steak, but that's about it.

Fogo de Chao is my favorite Brazilian Churrascaria steakhouse in Chicago. Gauchos with meat and seafood on skewers walk around, and depending on whether you have your colored disk on red or green, will offer you whatever they're carrying. Fogo de Chao also have a salad bar with fresh veggies, cheese, bread and more. I've found the waitstaff at Fogo de Chao to be great, and always willing to accommodate any request. I hear the desserts are also delicious, but I'm always too full to try it!
