Earl's is now located between NE 43rd and NE 45th on the Ave, in the old All-American space (good riddance to the A-A). Earl's has a bit of a seedy atmosphere, tends to be pretty crowded, and the staff can be short-tempered (don't tap your pool cues on the floor...).Having said that, the food is delicious and reasonably priced (vegetarian friendly) and they have a good selection of alcohol at good prices. I'd say it's a good place to go in mid-to-late afternoon; the couple of times I've been by in the evenings it's been crowded and not so pleasant.
