Jamie Moyer may not be a "true" all-star anymore, but his company is. I needed a full front windshield replacement and called around for quotes. I saved them for last thinking there was no way they'd be lowest price.
They WERE the lowest price. Lower than the discount with Safelite my insurance company garnered me. They had the friendliest phone staff, they give out 12 free car washes, AND money goes to charity!!
The on-site mobile worker was professional, fast, and knowledgeable. He answered all my obscure questions, allowed me to watch, and never complained. He did a quick job and did it more than well.
Between the speed, the cost, the charity, and the car washes, there is no reason to go anywhere else. Heck, there's really no need to go anywhere, they come to you!!

Another vote for the Mountaineers Photography class. Each weekend for the fairly long length of the course they have field trips and seminars setup.
These allow not only a great variety of content, but also access to the expert photographers that are running the program.
At the end, and at a few meetings throughout, they have critique sessions where you can get feedback on your photos. They have sessions with professional photographers, most of which are free, some of which require a slight additional fee. They're all worth it.
It is not geared towards digital photography (or at least was not when I took it) but the solid basis it gives you is well worth the time. There was a session on digital photography workflow, and I wouldn't be surprised if this portion has grown since I took the class three years ago.
It helps if you have a camera that allows manual use, and a tripod mount ability is a must (look for the bolt hole in the bottom) They do have a few loaner tripods, but they vary in quality and amount based on the trip, so you're legs above everyone if you can bring in one of your own.

Tup Tim Thai has been declining, and despite Racha's rise to better food, it still does not come close to comparing to Phuket.
Sit at the counter for a look into the open air kitchen that is inside the dining room, or sit in the upper booths if you have a larger party.
The service is instantaneous, the food fresh and very tasty. The dressing used on the salads included with dinners served after 5PM is EXCELLENT. It's also used on the side of the Chicken skewer appetizer.
The peanut sauce - incredible.

I miss the great pizza of Pagliacci's having moved out of Seattle to the suburbs. A warm Chicken Primo on a cold fall night sure soothed the senses.
I've found my new gourmet pizza replacement in South King County - Garlic Jim's. Their prices are a bit higher than say Dominos or Pizza Hut, but the service and quality are well worth it.
Every type of pizza I've had from there has been excellent. My two favorites are the margherita and chicken bacon ranch. Guess you can tell I'm a fan of the white pizza eh?? ;) Nothing against the good old Chicago/New York style reds, but garlic and oils hit the spot for me.
If they do for you too, then you need to check out Garlic Jims - they're spreading like wildfire down here, so if you're near South King County or the Eastside you're sure to either have one or be getting one. Heck, they even just opened one in Seattle!!

We got a fridge there for about $800 less than MSRP. We paid a bit more than our budget, but its because we were able to get so much more out of that money than we had even hoped for.
They have all sorts of appliances and accessories. Our fridge had a barely noticeable scratch on the front edge, and they were even nice enough to throw in touch up paint in the right color for FREE. Some of the fridges had nothing noticeable wrong expect maybe a missing shelf.
Delivery is self service, so if you don't have the strength or transportation you'll have to arrange it on your own separately. They do have several services they refer, and the one we used worked well. They even moved our old fridge to the garage for us.
It's worth the drive south.

The Auburn branch of Merry Maids offers free in home estimates. I called and spoke with Donna who was more than happy to set one up for me.
I canceled an appointment to make time for them to come out. 30 minutes before their appointment, they called to cancel and reschedule for the next week.
Again I carved time out of my schedule for them, and again 30 minutes before the appointment they called to cancel and reschedule. This time however I choose to drop them to the curb.
No business that doesn't care about your time in this manner is worth your money. Avoid them.

I needed a pair of running/walking shoes to start my PT program to recovery. I was pretty specific that I wanted the Nike+ system so I could track my progress. I know myself, and this is the only way I'll stay on track.
I found that besides Niketown, Footlocker and Finish Line had the shoes. I choose Finish Line at the Northgate Mall to go to. Thank goodness!!
I went in and they took a look at my sole wear pattern - indicating excessive supination. This ruled out the Nike Shok system, which are meant to help with pronation, which would throw me off even more. I'd not have known this had I just gone to a "shoe store."
W/o knowing my need for Nike+. they took me down the wall from the more expensive Nike shoes to show me some cheaper Asics when told I'd be starting with walking and progressing to running. I added my Nike+ request, and they pulled the ONE compatible shoe off the shelf that fit all my needs. I tried on a size , got them professionally laced (surprisingly, this makes a BIG difference...) and was set.
They have a club where you can sign up on the spot and earn points. Once you spend $200, you get $20 back. Add the $10 off $60 in store coupon they have at http://www.finishline.com and you're rolling in some extra cash.
The clerk that helped me was incredibly knowledgeable, and very accommodating to my questions and the length of time the whole trip took. This is my first happy shoe buying experience. I;d give a 6th star if I could.

I went to Covington Multicare's PT department for treatment on my herniated disc (L5-S1) in my lower back. The physical therapists there were all incredible, although I recommend Keith Boyd over the rest.
It is a bit removed from Seattle, but Keith has a great focus on a combination of stretches, balance ball, weight training, and more.
I went from not being able to walk or drive to being able to with a minimum amount of pain. The pain is slowly going away, and I attribute it 100% to these PTs. I've taken next to no pain relievers (they don't work well for me) and almost no muscle relaxers (although I have had to now and again.)

I've been around to a lot of the Honda dealers for various services (Bellevue, Seattle, Renton, Lynnwood, Hinshaw's, and Burien.)
The only ones that come to the top are Hinshaws and Burien. I've only gotten parts at Hinshaws, so I can't quite compare here.
Burien Honda got my CRV's broken window motor fixed in quick order. They did mess up the diagnosis at first, but corrected themselves (unfortunately not in my favor...) Because of this, they discounted the labor costs for the service in return (and no, it didn't take less time...)
The front counter folks were delightful, there was water, coffee, snacks, a TV, AND free USA Today papers in the waiting room.
The kicker? FREE loaner cars. Renton Honda makes you get a rental that they pay for, but that still requires you to sign up with YOUR credit card in case something happens. Phooey on that!
Burien Honda may be a dealer and may charge more than a local shop, but if you have a fairly unique problem that needs a quick resolution, coming here is a good bet.

They bill themselves as Thai & Vietnamese. I'm not sure they pull either one off really well. BUT, the food is still good despite that. Just because they don't fit a stereotype, doesn't matter.
I haven't tried all the food, but there is one dish that is so incredible I just can't risk not eating it when we stop here. It's the honey peanut shrimp (a house specialty). YUM!!
We also usually get the combo appetizer, which is good as well (coconut prawn, beef satay, eggroll) It was here that we found out our older daughter is in love with shrimp. She loves them any which way.
This is a great take out location, and is not far from the Lake Meridian Park & Ride. Call ahead while on the bus and drive right over for no wait at all.
