Please check this place out if you love vintage. Set up a bit like the Salvation Army, they sell tons of mens and womens clothing. Most of the items are in good condition and the prices are not too bad for what you can find there. One thing that stands out is the great selection of handbags. Leather, woven, cotton, you name it. It is also accessible if you are on wheels. There is a ramp for wheelchairs, etc. Take the L train to Bedford Ave.

"A new breed of pet supply stores". This is the truth! This is not your average pet store. They deliver and you can order on line. As I walk in, the counter is lined with organic doggie treats and catnip grass. I thought I was spoiled. There is a huge wall of pet toys, clothing, and just stuff. There are two other retail locations in Brooklyn just in case this particular location does not have what you are looking for. Yeah right!

“It's our pleasure to clean your treasures!” Well, I am not sure if I can call my tangled rags treasures, but Giant makes me believe it. Open 24 hours, you can do laundry if you can't sleep. They offer drop-off service and have the cutest little set up. Flat screen TV, video games, seating area, and plenty of machines. Try this out for a change of pace while doing laundry.

Chulo offers take out and delivery 7 days a week from noon to 11pm. The plates here are ample and the dining environment is ok. In the summer you have the option of outside dining. Tacos start at $4.50 and Burritos start at $9.50. I give them credit for being in the neighborhood for more than two years, but with those prices I want a sombrero wearing talking dog to go with my order.

Breakfast is served 6am to 8pm and the nice part is sun shine coming in near the side door around 2 in the afternoon.

Coffee, spirits, and comestibles. Welcome to hot boy land. On any given afternoon I have had the awesome discovery that boys are eating and drinking here. Yes, there is food there too. Moderate to high prices pay for the loft like space and the wrap around counter. Coming upstairs to the tea room is an adventure.

What the heck is this? I picked up a flyer of a woman doing a back bend pose hanging from a trapeze! This place advertises classes for traditional yoga poses supported by the upward lifting of a soft trapeze. Classes begin at $15, which is standard rate for traditional yoga. I would give this a try. It breaks the routine and gives you something to talk about at Willy Bee's with the girls.

If I had a kid, I would take him/her to this spot. It is like a romper room meets ice-cream shoppe, meets coffee shop. The parents get to socialize and the kids get to bounce off of the walls. Advertised as a space to have birthday parties, it is the one place that seems to be original in the neighborhood. Food, fun, music, art, parties, play, I like this place!

Very cheery and cutting edge. POP carries better brand men's and women's clothing. There is also a location in DC, I guess that is where they came from. My guess is that it will not last long. The prices are high and the merchandise does not fit the neighborhood. If I want to buy trendy, I got to Soho. If I make my own 'funk', I buy local designers and one of a kind pieces. POP is a great boutique, just a bit too Scoop and Flying 'A' to me.

Restaurant by day and 'Jump Off' club by night! Black Betty services the Williamsburg & Greenpoint area. Prices are low to moderate. To be honest I have never eaten here, but what I do know is that night after night they have an awesome lineup of DJs. There is no cover and the crowd includes a great mix of local Latin culture, hipsters, out of town visitors and other borough crowds. Best nights are up to you.
