Originally called Oscars, this restaurant popped up around 1999. They have outstanding bread sticks and the pizza is pretty good too. This was a restaurant I would bring food home once a week to my family from because it was that good!
Unfortunately about three years ago they suffered an e coli break out and lost a lot of it's customers. I was one of them. I ate a chicken caesar sandwich and was sick as a dog twelve hours later. Luckily I got over it but I haven't eaten at the restaurant since.

Aaron Brothers art store is nothing new to San Diego. Being an art major, most people are aware or have been to any Aaron Brothers locations. Aaron Brothers offers a selection of art supplies, while not indepth, at a higher mark up than most art stores in the area. Aaron Brothers does offer occasional discounts on one item in the Sunday paper but the coupon is not valid for already on sale items. Their custom framing is expensive so I choose to buy supplies from them and make my own frames. It's cheaper and I'm happier with the end result.

A whimsical little store from the creator, Paul Frank. This artist has been around for awhile and has a certain cast of characters that he uses for his shirts, tees, pjs, dolls, etc. Paul Frank is an icon in Los Angeles and he does collaborations with some of the most popular stars and artists.
His work is not inexpensive but it's definitely something you need to view. Some of the pieces that are limited, once they sell out they are very difficult (and pricey) to obtain second hand.

This museum is amazing! This is the Disneyland of museums. The museum is so large that you really can't view it all in one visit unless you go through it very quickly!
The museum is about five or six different buildings, each with different themes and items. They do offer rotating displays throughout the year and each one is more interesting than the other.
Parking is $7 per car but no admission for the museum. There is a little tram that takes you from the parking structure to the grounds. There is a cafeteria and many little shops and coffee places situated throughout the grounds.
A must see visit when in the area. There are actually two locations. This particular one in Los Angeles and another in Malibu.

This "museum" has been around for ages. I went shopping here with my parents when I was a child. It hasn't changed much over the years and still offers ample parking with plenty of shops throughout the complex. If you're a hobby enthusiast you should check this location out at least once while in the area.
The place is not spectacular but it is interesting enough to spend a couple of hours at by yourself or with your family.

Wow, is all I can when entering this car museum! The finest cars are shown here and they offer a rotating dispaly throughout the year. Luckily each exhibit stays up for about two months, which leaves plenty of time for viewing.
The museum is top notch and they offer year round memberships with different levels. This is definitely worth your investment if you'll be viewing the exhibit a couple of times a year.
If you're into cars, you'll want to check out this museum or even the website. They'll give you all the info you need and more on the web.

It's quite cheesy and expensive to see. It's located right in the touristy section of Los Angeles and I suppose you need to see it once in your lifetime but don't go out of your way to visit.

If you're into film or movie icons than this is the place for you to visit in the Los Angeles area. You'll find most every star possible in this locale and all life size. The location has been around for years but unfortunately it had it's hay day and the popularity stopped. Because of this, the museum chose to close it's doors last month and they are holding an auction to sell off the remaining pieces.
It's sad because this was a staple in the Hollywood area but things do change. Hopefully you were able to check it out before it's demise.

Honestly, I don't know why this place is so popular for tourists and new locals? When people come to visit they've heard of this attraction and want to visit. Why?? is always what I ask. It's really not that exciting of a place and it's a long drive. I understand it's one of the world's most famous fossil localities but I just don't see what the big deal is? Good luck going if this is your thing but you certainly won't find me there.

I had a great experience with La Mesa RV when I purchased my camper van. Although I bought a used van, I started out looking at brand new. The sales rep was very patient with me and it wasn't a quick decision at all. It took a few months before I finally decided on what I wanted and the sales staff was great. No real pressure to sell and they called a couple of times to let me know that a vehicle I might be interested in came in.
I had a great experience with them and I know other's that have had the same. Definitely recommend.
