No one likes having to do city business, but I have found the Cook County offices extremely efficient considering how many people they have to process. When I lived in Los Angeles I'd have to wait hours and hours with my parents at the DMV - here it was only an hour to get in and out. Amazing!

So I went here last Summer to get a window air conditioner. I had found one I liked online so I figured (since it said they were also in stores) that I could get it no problem. I waited for an hour to find someone to help me and when she did she said they didn't have it (they had them in stock, but sold out) and that she had no idea when they'd get more. There were several other people waiting for help at the Customer Service desk while I was waiting and 10 different employees passed us, but no one offered to help.

I perfer the Red Line over most of the other lines (Blue line is seriously creepy in some places and gross in most). I just signed up for a CTA unlimited card - I swear if the rates go up again I'm going to hurt someone.

Not only is Midway closer to downtown, but the service just seems nicer. The skycaps that have helped me with my bags are SO much nicer than the ons at O'Hare. I really like the renovations and it's easy to find where you're flying out of (I've gotten lost more than once at O'Hare).

I love the fries here - cheesy, regular or chilli/cheese. They taste great. There's also the 1950's feel and even a lunch counter to eat at! Another fun thing for families is the 5 cent juke box....
