I've enjoyed Vivace for years & am a regular evangelist for their coffee beans (& drinks). I regularly send beans to all my friends all over the country & have even made a few fans overseas.
Once you elevate your taste buds, it is really hard to go anywhere else.
Their beans are freshly roasted so you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee in your jammies (although you could probably go out in your jammies in Capitol Hill & not turn any heads!).

Even though I no longer live in the immediate neighborhood, I make a pilgrimmage there as I have trusted them with my dry cleaning needs for ten years. They are reasonably priced, in a great location (with parking and on the bus line), and very fast & friendly.
I had left Seattle for a few years & upon my return, they even remembered me! They are always very friendly & I couldn't recommend a better dry cleaner.

On a recent visit to PF Changs at the request of a friend, we encountered very mediocre Americanized Chinese food. The noodles were burned and over-sauced. The chicken was very salty, and the beef was very dry.
We did provide this feedback to our server, who then escalated to the manager, who was nice enough to comp our meal, but I won't be back ...
If you want authentic Chinese food, head to Cafe Ori in nearby Redmond. You get top quality food in ample quantities and at very reasonable prices.

I've enjoyed their bockwurst, bratwurst, and berliner sausages in addition to the German-style bread (made locally at the Morningstar bakery & at an excellent bakery in Canada). The bread is delivered on Tuesdays and Saturdays & they are more than happy to hold bread, etc. for you.
I was happy to see they carried the Handelmeier brand mustard that I enjoyed while in Munich, too!

After being referred to them by the Braun customer service center, I took my six-month-old coffee maker to them so that they could order a new drip stop (the plastic contraption that is under the basket).
I was informed that they would call me in a weeks' time once they had looked at it. One week came & went without a phone call; I contacted them and was told they hadn't looked at it. I was again promised a call, which never materialized.
I contacted them again a full week after being promised a call and was told that they had ordered a new heater assembly! I informed them that I didn't need the aforementioned, but needed a drip stop! I was advised that they would look into it & it would be another week. (No apology offered.)
I then called back a short time later to ensure that they were indeed looking at my coffee maker; they hadn't even checked the claim ticket number! "Oh, I had your coffee maker confused with another one ..." (No apology offered.)
Finally, I did receive a call yesterday informing me that my coffee maker was ready. During this whole three-week process, I never received any sort of "I'm sorry we didn't call you," etc. whenever I called. They were very short on the phone & acted like you were annoying them.
I understand that Braun has another service center in the area & if I ever have another problem with my coffee maker, you can bet that I will go there instead!

They've been around since 1945 & I've been going to Ramuta's for over ten years since I moved here. They are consistently rated "Best of" & do shoe repairs for the local theatre community.
They even have a frequent shopper card that doesn't expire. In addition, they are an authorized Birkenstock repair shop.

My friends call me the "Caucasian Asian" as I am always up for anything requiring chopsticks. Cafe Ori has got to be the best Chinese food on the East Side.
The restaurant is always busy & filled with a largely Asian population, which is always a good sign. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient.
The portions are huge so come hungry or share dishes. The only "downside" is that they don't take cards, but you just need to remember to have enough cash with you. (There aren't any ATMs in the plaza either).

These are without a doubt the best WonTons in all of Seattle. The menu looks very intimidating at first as there are so many options. For first times, best to start simple with the WonTon Noodle Soup & then work your way around the menu to determine your favorites.
The service is really fast & you can even watch them cooking through the window in the open kitchen. Plus, it is really inexpensive and very filling.
