For those of you who think tofu is boring and bland, think again! Tofu House prepares tofu in a number of different ways. I'd recommend starting with the fried tofu appetizer. The tofu is served in thinly sliced strips that are lightly breaded and fried in canola oil. They're served with a wonderful spicy sauce on the side that's a mixture of cucumbers and spice and tastes very much like something you might get in a Thai restaurant. I'd recommend trying a tofu burger, especially if you're someone that hasn't had tofu often. This is a good introduction. You can get them breaded or grilled, served with portobella mushrooms and lots of other traditional fixings.

I love haunted houses, and this one is set in a gorgeous part of San Diego. The setting in Old Town makes it all the more authentic. This haunted house is scary, but still fun enough to make it ideal for all ages. Going at night makes it all the more scary, and it does cost more to take a night tour. You're probably only going to visit this haunted house once, therefore, I recommend you spring the extra money to go during the evening. The staff is fun and friendly at the Whaley House, and you can tell they're having just as much fun as the people touring.

Fili is a wonderful little restaurant that manages to incorporate several different ethnicities into their menu. There's a danger in doing this, as it can be challenging to perfect the tastes of all these different ethnic cuisines in just one restaurant. Fili has managed to do this, and the result is a global eating experience. The dishes range from fusions between Greek and Indian foods and Chinese and Mexican. I hesitated to try this restaurant because I wasn't sure if they could pull it off. They definitely can.

This is just a great local computer store. I try to avoid shopping at the chains, especially for computer products, because the staff never seems very knowledgeable about the product--or concerned about what you really need. This is definitely not the case here. The store hours are expanded during the week, accomodating people who work late. They have all the top notch computer brands and manage to sell them at prices competitive with those of the chain stores. They really know their stuff here--everything they've ever recommended to me has worked just as it should. Why go elsewhere?

The air conditioning unit in my car wasn't working properly last summer, and given the time of year, I definitely wanted to get it repaired as soon as possible. My regular mechanic wasn't able to repair the sort of air conditioning system I have in my car, and he referred me to International Conditioning. They provided me with a quote, and explained in great detail what would be done to my car. The actual bill accurately reflected my estimate and my air conditioning has worked great ever since. I will schedule all of my air conditioning tune-ups here.

Schneider offers a variety of communications equipment for business, and I found that their phone packages are both reasonably priced and ideal for small businesses. I say this because the packages get cheaper as you buy more phones, however, the packages are small--so even if you have a need for just 10 phones, you'll get them at a discounted rate under the package price. The phones are durable and Schneider does a great job teaching people how to use them. They could just give you the owner's manuals and leave you to the mercy of the instructions, but they definitely go the extra mile with customer service.

Global Wireless specializes in the installation of wirless networking services for your home. I purchased wireless products, and found the process to be much more difficult than I had first anticpated. I returned the products and called Global. They helped me choose a package that would best suit my home networking needs, and within a few days, were able to come over and do the installation in less than an hour. The installation rate was included in the package, and I've been very happy with the result. They were able to communicate to me in layman's terms how the networking process works. I appreciated that. I'm very happy with this business.

I had 2 appointments with a nutritionist at the Pacific Center. I enjoyed the office and the staff, and I found the information provided to me during these appointments to be extremely helpful and realistic. I was very motivated to continue, however, I found that it was nearly impossible to get appointments without waiting for a month or two. I simply couldn't work a wellness plan and program and have to wait that long in between appointments. I was disappointed by this, as I did like my sevices provided. However, it just wasn't feasible to continue going.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine offers a perfect combination of chiropractic services with alternative practices, like acupuncture and herbal supplements. I was hesitant to try acupuncture for my lower back pain, but the doctors incorporated these services along with chiropractic manipulations and I found the result to be very successful. Appointments can also include discussions on wellness and health, and using herbs to supplement your diet and help with your pain issues. This is optional, but I have taken advantage of this. The herbs recommended to me have been very succesful in my management of pain.

Don't let the name fool you! Affordable Massage is not true to it's name. I've found several other massage therapists (actually almost every other place I've checked into while comparing rates) much cheaper for both 1/2 and 1 hr. massages. The name might draw you in thinking that you're getting a deal, however, you aren't. I went once and found the services to be adequate, but not great. I assumed the prices would be low, because of the name, and when my services were rung up, I was surprised to find just the opposite.
