The spa services sounded really fun & interesting but I was really disappointed because I didn't walk away relaxed & rejuvinated at all. The massage room was right near the hair cutting stations so throughout my entire massage I could hear the blowdryer going. It was not relaxing at all. On another visit, I had to wait about a very long time for my mani/pedi appt (about 30 -40 min past the appt time) because the appointment before me was running late. Unfortunately, they don't even compare to habitude.

I really like a few of the sandwiches and fish & chips here. However, each time I've been to the Old Town the servers have brought someone at the table the wrong food, drink, forgotten something, etc. The servers we've had have been a bit snotty and never apologized when they messed up the orders. A few times that we've stopped by around 11:45am they haven't been open but their hours say they open at 11:30am. I hope they can take their service up a notch.

I could eat at La Carta de Oaxaca everyday. The food is so authentic, it's hard to believe that it's in Ballard. The room is noisey, there is always a wait for a table, and you might get seated at the communal table but the food is so delicious you won't mind one bit. They make a mean margarita too. I dream of the carne asada tacos! And the mole is to die for. The portions are small and so you will want to order a couple of dishes per person.

Incredible sushi, great atmosphere, friendly service. The fish is very fresh and really nice flavors! I wish it weren't so far away from my house or I would dine here weekly!

Such a great neighborhood place. I really love the coffee---never bitter, very smooth and the baristas are fabulous and always remember my drink.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Seattle. I've been dining at Volterra at least 2 times a month since they opened and I never get tired of going there. The menu changes frequently so there are always new dishes to try. I don't know what I would do if they ever took the Wild Boar Tenderloin w/ a gorgonzola sauce from heaven off the menu. Their Ceasar salad is my favorite in Seattle. I am also in love with the Lamb Shank served over creamy polenta and the Tagiolini with wild mushrooms, truffle butter and fresh shaved black truffles on top! YUM! The dining room is beautiful and intimate. I've had excellent service each time I've visited. The servers are attentive but not intrusive and well educated. Excellent, quite lengthy wine list with numerous bottles in all price ranges. I highly recommend Volterra.
