I think the Sonics games are a really good time. The team may not be doing too well, and who knows whether they'll be here for another 20 years. But you may as well go while you can and enjoy the action. The game presentation is pretty good, and there's always plenty of energy...certainly more than at a sleepy baseball game. While the crowd may not be as loud as it is at Quest, a night at the Key is usually going to be pretty entertaining.

I am a member at Rain Fitness, a small gym down where Denny hits Western. I think it's everything you could want in a gym: clean, airy, very few meatheads, friendly staff, and a broad range of equipment and classes. I don't do much cardio there, but they have plenty of machines, all of which face out to the Sound. On a sunny day, it's just a really refreshing environment in which to work out. But don't tell too many people, because otherwise that will ruin the best part: it's currently never too crowded.

It took me a while to go up to the top of the Space Needle...not because I'm afraid of heights, but more because I just figured it'd be a really boring, touristy thing to do. I was able to go when my mother came into town, and surprisingly, we had a perfect, clear blue sky when we went. Overall, I thought it was something worth doing. Seattle doesn't have the architectural skyline of a New York or the majestic views of San Francisco. But being able to see all the neighborhoods, along with the mountains and the Sound, was an experience worth having at least once while you're here.

Just got back from a lunch at Wild Ginger, and I felt the need to state what is probably very obvious to most Seattleites: that place is incredible. It almost doesn't matter what I order at this point, because everything I have ever had there is absolutely scrumpdiddilyumptious. My favorites are the Hanoi Tuna, the Chilean Sea Bass, and the Tuna Manada. But the satays are also really good, and I even went so far as to try the duck today. All were typically tasty. The place isn't cheap, but it's well worth the price.

Everybody has their favorite restaurant for Pad Thai, and this one is mine. Be sure to go for Option #1, rather than their Country Style Option #1A, which isn't quite as good, in my opinion. I think this place blows perennial favorite Tip Tum Thai out of the water. I saw some people complain about the wait, but I've never had any extraordinary problem with this.
