Artu is the place to nosh on delectable, well-priced, rustic Italian food. Several panini are prepared, from meatball to fresh mozzarella, along with a full trattoria menu: antipasto plates, tossed salads, pastas, and chicken sauteed (almost) every which way. Also, try a rotisserie-chicken sandwich - overstuffed and very juicy. Nothing too fancy, but authentic and romantic.

If you love burgers, this place is it! Their burgers are hand-formed and fresh. They make a mean frappe, always nice.Be prepared to sit at tiny tables, or at one big long table with strangers next to or across from you. The place isn't fancy, all the condiments and napkins are on the tables.
You go to Bartley's for GREAT burgers and drinks. It's that simple. I would recommend this to people who feel comfortable eating in simple places. This place is so laid-back, I'd imagine reservations are unheard of. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a seat.
And oh yeah, there are NO bathrooms...

East Coast Grill does not take reservations for tables with less than 5 people. If you're not in a group, be prepared to wait for almost an hour. We sat in the bar (next door) area to wait. My boyfriends got a beer that he enjoyed and I had a margarita. The restaurant is boisterous with high ceilings and exposed brick walls that add to the noise. After about 40 minutes, we were seated. The service could have been better. The owner has written a number of popular cookbooks about grilling so he appears to know what to do.
The mussels were perfect, although the sauce was a bit strong. The bread served with it was delish. Our entrees arrived and they were served with a flourish and they were perfectly done and the portions were generous.
I was pleased with most of my experience at the East Coast Grill. Despite the little things. I appreciated the food we had.

The menu is mostly tapas (small sampling dishes of various foods). Each dish costs around $3-$7 and for a couple, you should order 3 or 4 dishes, which are meant to be shared. We tried several tapas dishes and for the most part we thought it was great. Vegetarians: If you eat seafood, there are many options. If you eat only eggs, there are some dishes to choose from. If you do not eat seafood or eggs, there is not much for you. The service is great. We were greeted at the door, water glasses arrived quickly and we received our order fast.

Bisuteki is located in a hotel on Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Reservations are mandatory if you don't want to wait for a long time, but even if you do have reservations and your party is smaller than 8 people, you might end up waiting regardless. If your party is less than 8, you will probably be eating with strangers, (not an issue for me). The highlight of the menu are the hibachi dinners. Dinner consists of onion soup, salad with ginger dressing, shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables white rice your choice of meat and green tea. Prices vary by what meat you choose (chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, etc). You can also order a combo meal or get a vegetable dinner (your food will be preared on the same grill as the meat, however).
Heads up: fried rice and noodles are not included. They are available at an additional cost. Bisuteki also offers a selection of sushi. The chefs are very polite and the wait staff rarely comes around. It can be on the expensive side, but it will provide food for a few days.

This tiny place has earned a glowing reputation for their food. Specialties include steamed chicken or shrimp with vegetables, won ton soup, and sweet and sour spare ribs. The decor does actually take away from the experience and enjoyment of food.
The service at Beijing Star is efficient and friendly.

The restaurant of Chez Henri and the Bar have 2 different menus. I can't speak for the restaurant menu - but the bar menu is wonderful. Simply put - you will not find a better Cubano sandwich or Mojito in Boston or Cambridge. I've consumed many over the last few years. The sandwich comes with wonderful plaintain chips, not at all greasy. I've heard that other things on the bar menu are equally delicious.
This is a great place to eat, drink and talk. It is upscale, but also neighborly and moderately priced.

This Indian restaurant with ceiling fans and a royal scene on the wall serves up a gargantuan menu of meats and seafood in many different sauces. The clay oven turns out a glorious plethora of items. If a couple (or never been), order the Cafe Royal Dinner for Two (comes in veggie form, too). It makes it easier to order. This dinner includes mulligatawny soup, samososas, seekh kabab, chicken tandoori, chicken tikka, boti kabab, choice of two entrees, rice, naan bread, dessert, and a choice of tea or coffee. If this sounds like a huge amount of food, it's because it is. The veggie dinner has everything mentioned except for the meat.

The service staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The beautiful decor (which was greatly improved by an addition a few years ago), is stylish and comfortable (located in an old bank building in East Arlington). The food is superb and the wines are very fairly priced. It is a bargain when compared with similar restaurants in the city! Try it, you'll like it.
