One can easily imagine the harried law students from 'The Paper Chase' convening at the communal table to compare notes. Might have soemthing to do withthe fact that the people that hang out here look like they belong in Hollwood's version of Harvard. However, anyoner can appreciate the Michigan blueberries in the New England brown bread, the chili-spiked harissa in the tuna and most assuredly the Sin Sandwich, a mouthful of Nutella and Valrhona chocolate grilled on homemade brioche. You might end up sounding like Meg Ryan in the deli scene from When Harry Met Sally. No, seriously.

Within the two plain, lime-green rooms, Nightingale is dishing out well-priced omni-Med cuisine: plates like the wild mushroom tart, seared skate wing with brown butter and braised veal osso bucco with dried apricots, almonds and white beans. Entrees don't cost more than $20, so you can feel free to order dessert splurge (spiced pumpkin creme brulee or bosc pear and almond tart with burnt caramel sauce).

The aroma immediately pulls you in and tells you this is going to be good. Excellent menu, delicious food and outrageous fresh fruit cocktails.. Unpretentious service, genuinely warm and attentive staff and great summer grill food. Wonders of wonders, they have free parking out back. Not cheap, but worth the price. I would recommed it to anyone.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of an old brownstone and truly does have a neighborhood feel. The interior is small, but nice. It also has an open kitchen so you can see the staff work. The menu has a South American (Peruvian) flavor. They have great brunch on the weekends..with lots of creative gourmet options such as chicken sausage and roasted pepper omelettes, really thick french toast and more. Claremont Cafe is a great place for a date. The prices here are not bad, either.

The room can be loud at times but it is still a great place. It's decor is very 1920's and they serve up some of the best martinis in town! The servers are very attentive and are always more than willing to answer your questions about items on the menu. The cuisine is mainly from the Alsace region of France.. lots of great things like chicken raviolis, garlic roasted chicken, steaks, lamb, seafood. And when the desserts are served everyone turns and stares!!! Definitely a fabulous dining experience...

If you come here, you MUST make it a weekend affair. And I will tell you why: Satuirday's Chocolate Bar and Sunday's Jazz Brunch Buffet.
The Choclate Bar is EXACTLY how it sounds and it is AMAZING!!! It's a "try-all-you-like" buffet comprised of light and dark chocolate mousses, cakes, tortes, eclairs, crepes, ice cream, cookies pies and other confections. Then there's the Zing Bar (where the options include white milk and dark chocolate truffle lollipops and exotic fruit powders and spices for dipping), the Chocolate Fondue Station (featuring three flavored fondues a week) and Create-a-Crepe (a self-serve creperie with fillings from crumbled Oreos to creme anglaise). Among the other enticements are the Opera Torte, chocolate croissant bread pudding and the craziness of chocolate sushi (no, it's not seafood, it's fillings like mango "pickled ginger," pistachio "wasabi" and chocolate "soy sauce").
On to the Sunday brunch: Eight custom stations (omelet, pasta and crepe among them) serve as centerpiece to dozens of changing dishes, hot and cold. Look for tasty lamb and goat-cheese quesadillas and the custardy tropezine tart. Even adults will love the mac 'n' cheese, arrayed on a half-height kiddie table. Just as at the Chocoate Bar, the chocolate-croissant pudding is present.
If you don't go, you're absolutely crazy.

To be fair, the quality of the food is very good. Service around peak period times is not the best (although that is not why I did not give them the fifth star). Even though the quality rates high on my scale, I believe it is overpriced when compared with other restaurants of equal quality. Maybe the HSP: Harvard Square Premium. However, it does hit the trifecta (food, service, mood) that you look for in a restaurant.

A large wooden sign hangs in Cornwall's entryway welcoming "merry souls... who think drinking is a pleasure." It wishes that all "ladies and gents" reach "contentment long before capacity."...

That should give you a great clue about this place. Whether you're a sports fan or a student, you'll feel at home here. There are roughly 100 beers to take part from here, and if you're from out of town and not used to the selection, it can be mind-boggling.
If you're looking to fill your stomach, you can find a myriad of filling foods for around $12 or less. This includes burgers, salads and more. Grab another pint to wash it down...
