Ivars is a Seattle institution

Thursday, August 04, 2005
If you're like me, you learned of the joys of Ivar's fish and chips at an early age. Tonight I returned after a long hiatus with my wife and daughter. I had Salmon and chips and my wife had Halibut and chips. Maggie had a bottle. The food is pretty simple and pretty good. Fish and chips, clam chowder, etc. There's a carry out counter that gets pretty crowded but on a nice day like today it's not a big deal. There is also a sit down restaurant that I haven't been too in ages. We opted for carry out and outdoor seating. Ivar's is a Seattle institution and the food is only part of the reason why. Stop by and order the Salmon and chips if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.
