This place looks like Oz mixed with the 80's on acid. there is SO much color, not only on the walls, but the plates as well. It has very interesting architecture, too (just be sure not to look at the walls while eating, you could be unsettled by the woman dissolving and disappearing into waves of Asian imagery on them.
On to the food, it definitely matches the decor. Spicy, flavorful and amazing. If you're not sure what to get, they have sushi to help you feel more comfortable and a host of traditional noodle and rice dishes. Yor head will spin from the sake menu as well...

This is a HUGE club. It's 42,000 square feet. And this is not just a club, it's a lounge, restaurant and banquet facility. The name Tao is well known in New York among the glitterati and has made a name in Las Vegas with this garganutan complex, which houses waterfalls, century old woods and stones, and a hand-carved 20-foot-tall Buddha floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese carp.
The restaurant opens at 5 pm and serves Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines. The club rocks all the way until 5 am.

Of all the Asian thmed restaurants in Las Vegas, Royal Star has won some of the awards such as Best Chinese Restaurant and Best Aisan restaurant.
That said, the food here is not just full of flavor, it's full of color. And food full of color you KNOW is fresh. They serve dim sum (served tableside) from 11am to 3pm and dinner (California Asian cuisine ) from 5pm to 11pm. Don't worry if you have a vegetarian or a picky eater in your midst, they have meat, poultry and vegetarian offerings. They also have a wide array of drinks with a full wine list of European, American and Asian selections along with sake, tea services and a full bar.

Yes, this restaurant has a laundry list of awards and honors. But one is REALLy good: it was voted one of the 10 best restaurants in the world by Hotels Magazine. And this is why:
First off, it's a Wolfgang Puck creation. And that should say it all. Everything he uses is the best of the best, the freshest of the fresh. And you can taste it in every bite (yes, that is fresh ingredients you are tasting, it's not usual for everyone).
And you don't have to sit inside in the gorgeous upscale dining room. If you are into people watching you can sit on the breezy patio.

Yet ANOTHER award winning restaurant here at the Venetian. The interior reminds me of the private club Dan Akroyd belinged to in Trading Places. It's a Thomasville showroom, practically. It's is abundant in rich colors, wood, fabrics and art.
On tot he food: it's California inspired French, but it's not fussy. It's well done, as is most everything here at the Venetian. Their wine list is enviable and the chocolate souffle is not to be missed.

When you think of Emeril Legasse, you would not necessarily think of this warm and understated steak house. The food, yes. But the atmosphere, no. This place has won quite a few food awards itself, and with Emeril at the helm, you can see why.
The food is good old American steak, but with a Creole influence. And that is a very, very good thing. it is so tender and juicy and...um, darn it, now I am practically drooling.

This is Northern Italian Cuisine done WELL. And regardless of what your party is, they can accomodate you. You can sit out under the gorgeous Venetian sky at a cafe like table overlooking St. Marks' Square, dine intimately in one of the luxurious booths or if you have a group or large party there are 5 specialty rooms that can fit up to 175 people.
This is from the people that did Il Fornaio, so they share bread (good thing). The food is amazingly crafted by the chef and he favors the grill and does a mean rotisserie.

And there is good reason. Everything here is flawless. the oyster bar and cocktail lounge will make sure you and your partner won't leave your room for a day or two. Take your time and enjoy the food, it's hard to find food done this well.

The big pull here is seafood. It's fresh and flown in from around all corners of the world. You could be astonished to find that it is not a club, from the way it looks. It's a gorgeous, well appointed place.
The service is very attentive and makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable. Although their specialty is seafood, they do make one heck of a filet mignon.
You can't go wrong if you take your prospective in-laws here.

The owner of this hotel/casino, built it as a labor of love for his wife and he was SERIOUS. He knows what he likes and wants it to be right. Well, he succeeded.
Every room is actually a suite with a sunken living room and that's to start (it only gets better with each level of suite). It is luxe and comfortable (presumably so you won't want to leave). And to be honest, there is so much going on here, you won't even want to leave the property. There are 5 pools, the Canyon Ranch Spa, and there are more than enough restaurants to cover any kind of food that you may desire (including my personal fave, Grand Luxe Cafe).
If you can, book yourself a suite here, you'll be very happy.
