With more than thirty taps along its back wall, most of which rotate, the Map Room has built a reputation as a beer enthusiast's haven. Located in a quiet corner along Armitage, it has every appearance and feeling of being a typical neighborhood bar. And indeed it does have a lot of local regulars, meeting for a quick pint, and chatting up the friendly bartenders.
What sets it apart from a typical neighborhood haunt is the beer selection that draws people from hundreds of miles, as well as down the street. And it's all delivered without an ounce of hoighty-toighty pretense that unfortunately seems to go with so many well-tapped bars.
