In the fishing village of Mayport, the most famous restaurant around is Singleton’s. You can eat inside, but most chose to eat on the screened porches in order to enjoy the waterfront setting. You can sit and watch the pelicans, ducks, and the shrimpers settle their boats in for the evening. The floors will remind you of a wooden deck and the seating is picnic style. When you enter the restaurant, the seafood market is in the front and the bar is to the back. There is also a miniature boat museum, which is such an unexpected treat.
Singleton’s offers a wide variety of seafood. A good choice is always the seafood platter. No matter how much you eat, you’ll always need a doggy bag. There is just no way to eat it all!! So, put on your most comfy clothes and flip-flops and come eat with the locals.
