When we found out we were moving to Apple Valley we contacted Century 21 Realty to look for a home. The Realtor talked to me on the telephone, found out the size of garage we wanted, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms we wanted, even before we met her in person. She had researched and visited several homes in the area that fitted our wants and needs before we even arrived. We ended up buying the first home she showed us on that first day we arrived after a week of looking. It is still amazing to me how she just knew what we would like without ever having met us in person. We should have just bought that house on the first day we were here, but when you are scared about buying your first home, you wait to see if you like anything else better. But my husband never did, so we made a bid on that house, and the realtor worked hard to get us that home at the price we bidded. We have been very happy in our new home that she found for us for eight years now, and not at all unhappy about our choice. We couldn't have done it without her. We didn't know anything about this area before we arrived.

Eight years ago we moved to Apple Valley. Century 21 helped us find a fantastic home. The Realtor searched the area on her own before we even arrived. All she did was ask us a few questions on the phone about what we were wanting, then she started her search. After we flew in and checked into our hotel, she met with us and started showing us her choices. Since we were so scared about picking out our first home, we looked at some homes we researched for in her office. We got our choices down to three. The house we bidded on was the first home she showed us on the first day we arrived. She worked hard for us to get the home without having to rebid, and our original offer we gave them was accepted. After we moved in, she bought us a wooden sign with our last name on it for the entrance to our home. I will always be impressed with how she knew just the right homes to show us, and the time she put in to research those homes before we even arrived in the area.

I have been going to High Desert Therapeutic Massage Center for several years. Any of their massagers are excellent, for they only hire the best therapeutic massagers in the area. I personally recommend Steve, Gail, or Robin.
Everyone at HDTMC does deep tissue massages. Some of them also do stress reduction, pregnancy, cranial, and carpal tunnel massages. I mainly go there for the deep tissue massages for my shoulders, hips, neck, and back pain. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. If I didn't get these deep tissue massages I would be in continuous pain. Deep tissue massages get the "knots" out of the muscles and relaxes the joints. I have gone to chiropractors before, but have found therapeutic massages to work the best for my muscles and joints. I have a session every three weeks. I feel like a completely new person after Robin works on me.It is like taking your car in for realignment - your body feels more balanced after the massage is over. The rubbing and kneading of the muscles and joints make them work better and increases the circulation of blood to those areas. This in turn, causes healing in that joint or muscle.
With an occasional stress reduction massage I have left there so relaxed and mellow I just wanted to nap afterwards. A thorough massage relaxes tired muscles. They give you a bottle of water after each massage. You need to drink plenty of fluids to help wash the toxins out of your body.
When I first started going to HDTMC I had a bad hip that was causing pain and trouble walking. I was looking for a massage center that did therapeutic massages, so I went to High Desert Therapeutic Massage Center. The staff is very knowledgeable. After one session I had less pain in my hip and more flexibility for walking. If you aren't sure what they can do for you, just drop by and talk with them, or give them a call. If you get their machine, they are busy with clients. Just leave your name and number, and they will get right back to you.
It takes a while for a massager to get use to your body, and it takes you awhile to get use to their technique. Don't judge the massager on one visit. If you end up not liking your massager, don't be afraid to try another one. It is just like picking out a doctor. Find the one that fits your needs. If you go here, you will find all of the staff to be kind, friendly, gentle, courteous, and helpful. I know you will not be disappointed.
I got my husband started with a gift certificate to HDTMC. He could not lift one of his legs because of knee and hip pain. He didn't see how a deep tissue massage would help him. After a session with Steve, he could left his leg into the truck again. So, my husband decided to start seeing Steve for his shoulder and back problems every two months. These sessions gave him so much relief, he now sees Steve once-a-month. This is a man that I can't even get to go to doctors. He swears by therapeutic, deep tissue massages now. He tells everybody that is in pain to go to HDTMC, and gives them his testimony of how they helped him.

When my husband opened up his sandwich, I was shocked. I thought they had given him a child's hamburger. What happened to the big buns? We didn't order any fries. My chicken sandwich was small also, and would have done just fine for a lunch, but for dinner, it just didn't work for me. My husband and I shopped at the grocery store, then went home and had another dinner. The sandwiches ended up just being snacks for us before going shopping. The staff was polite, and answered all of our questions and requests with eagerness to please their customers. I probably won't go back there again though. It will be In and Out Burgers or Jack In The Box for now.

Since we do not have a Trader Joe's in our area, BJ's Health Foods is the place to go in Apple Valley. They have the vitamins, teas, herbs, acidophilus, raw nuts, flax seed, and so forth that I want to buy. The prices are more than Trader Joe's of course, and the choices are less than Trader Joe's, but since I would have to drive to Redlands or Rancho Cucamonga to shop, I am at least saving on gas by shopping at BJ's. The staff is quite helpful at BJ's.They give you personal service and help you find just what you need, which larger stores don't always get to do.

I have banked at Wells Fargo since 1977. I haven't had one problem with them in all of those years. And, now, I am a Premier Customer. For young people, I suggest you begin with this bank. Start investing in Wells Fargo Investments, increase your savings account, have a direct deposit to your checking, and never bounce a check. Then when you are older, you can be a Premier Customer also. There are many advantages to this honor. You have a special teller in the bank just for Premier, and you don't have to wait in the long lines. You get free checks and on-line banking. There is a special phone number for Premier banking service. And the list goes on. They have had other specials like this in the past years that I have been with them, which I have taken advantage of, so they definitely do honor their loyal customers, if you stick with them for a long time. For the other people who already bank with Wells Fargo, I recommend you check out Premier Banking. It is recommended by Wells Fargo that you go in once-a-year and review your accounts with them, because you never know what you will qualify for. That is what happened to us. If we hadn't gone in to take some money out of our savings, we would not have found out that we have been qualifying for Premier Banking for quite-a-while and didn't know it.

As a birthday present I took my husband to this casino in Palm Springs. It is a nicely decorated casino with easy access. We were even able to park in the street near-by, which required little walking to the entrance. We were hungry and enjoyed a slice of pizza, since it was the cheapest thing on their menu. The costs of their other deli items were outlandish. We wouldn't even try the buffet at its price. I sure do miss those days in Las Vegas when you could eat a good buffet of food for a small amount of money. The only place that still seems to do that is in Laughlin, but we haven't been there for awhile, so who knows how the prices are these days. We always go with a set amount of money to spend. This time was $60.00, which did not win us one thing. It was eaten up in an hour. I stood and watched one man put $75.00 in one machine, and didn't get one hit. I kept wondering why he did that, but he did. I saw one small win as we were leaving. Everyone looked tired, bored, and disenchanted in their play and surroundings. I wonder if they would have been happier going out for a nice dinner with their money in one of the nice restaurants in Palm Springs, and forgot the gambling they didn't seem to be enjoying anyway.

I went to Dr. Joseph E. Eiswert DMD for a couple of years, because of his good chairside manner and helpfulness, until I had a crown replaced on my bottom right tooth at the back of my mouth. I will not go back again! This simple procedure of crown-replacement ended up being a root-canal, then an unsolvable ache (which I still have to this day). At first, he told me not to worry, he would help me. Then when he couldn't solve the problem, he started acting as if I was an annoyance to him and his staff. So he referred me on to another doctor for a second opinion, which I haven't done as yet, because I am afraid of dentists now. I don't want anyone touching the inside of my mouth. Not even me, which makes it hard to keep up the flossing and toothbrushing. If it had not been for some sweet voice in the hallway recommending "gas" to help me through the rest of the root canal, he would have continued operating on me in this "Dentist Chair of Torture" without it. I have gone to dentists all my life, had a root canal before, wisdom teeth removed, and several crowns and fillings, and I have never felt so terrible before. I wish this wasn't so, because he is a very polite, nice man, but I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

This is a hidden restaurant on 7th Street near the Goodwill store and Grocery Outlet. I don't know if you have ever tried it as yet, but you might be surprised how good it is. It has a buffet of several Chinese dishes to try, which includes a salad bar, dessert bar, and ice cream and drinks bar, as well as all the entrées of main dishes. Our favorite is the Orange Chicken. They usually have a Seasoned Shrimp dish that is very tasty. And then some regulars like Beef and Broccoli, Chop Suey, Egg Foo Yong, Chinese Noodles, Egg Rolls, Won Ton Soup, and Chicken and Vegetables, etc. All of their food is tasty and enjoyable to eat, and I always have to have a bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce when I'm all done. The ice cream is just at the right consistency - not too thick and not too thin. The only complaint that some people could have is over the location. If they could change location, I feel they would have even more customers and an increase in popularity.. The restaurant is kept clean. She was forever washing off the tables while we were there. They keep the entrée trays full at all times. The kitchen sounds quite busy in the back. We like the food, and have even taken family members who are visiting for the weekend there for dinner, and they have all liked it too. And the prices are fantastic - $7.59 for each adult. And they have senior prices too for over 60.

The last time we went to this fast-food restaurant, my husband had a Ciabatta sandwich. He was excited about it there at the restaurant, and has been excited about it ever since. At the restaurant, he asked the employees if Jack was there? They didn't know of a Jack. He said, "Jack, the owner". They wanted to know why. He said,"I wanted to tell him that those Ciabattas are good." As you know, Jack has been advertising these sandwiches a lot lately. Well, on this one, you can believe what he says. Of course, Jack wasn't there, so my husband didn't get to tell him personally! I also enjoy Jack's salads, and go there for lunch occasionally. The only request I would have of this restaurant is that they would clean their tables, floors, counters, and bathrooms more often. But, of course you can avoid that nuisance by taking your food to go.
