The prime rib, the Branding Steak, the in-house brewed porter beer, the green beans, the baked potato, and the salads were all delicious!! The prices were fair - $14.99 for an 8 oz. Branding Steak, $18.98 for a 10 oz. prime rib with mushrooms. They were tender and seasoned just right. Nothing is plain at this restaurant. Everything is tasty, from the food to the beer to the decor. You felt like you could be out on the fields of Omaha, with the windmill, the farm tools, and the wooden siding. You can see the room where they brew the beer. It is right behind the bar. Since you can only get these beers at their establishment, they do have containers to take some home with you. The service is quick and friendly.

I took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday because he loves a good steak. It was recommended by other judy'sbook members, and they were right about everything they said. We will go back to this restaurant again. In fact, we can't wait to go back there again. We will probably take our friends for their anniversary in April. The steaks were so tender, they almost melted in your mouth. (Who wants to chew on a piece of tough steak for ten minutes? Not us!) The salad served before the meal had some kind of seasonings on it, that I have never experienced before, that both of us enjoyed. (It wasn't just a bowl of iceberg lettuce with a sliced tomato on it; it was a lot more than that!) My green beans were so delicious. My husband said he was completely full after eating his 10 oz. prime rib, baked potato, and two glasses of their in-house brewed porter beer. I had a delicious 8 oz steak called the Branding Steak, which our waitress said was her favorite. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and courteous. She said to come again in the evening some time, when they have karaoke or live music. As you walk into the restaurant you will see large tanks on your right, behind the bar, where they make their own home-made brewed beers. My husband tried the porter. He said it was one of the best porters he has ever had, and he has tried many, mostly in California, Oregon, and Colorado. In fact, my husband, brother, and son-in-law have all brewed their own beers, but have since quit, and enjoy good beers at a local brewery instead, like Omaha Jack's Grillhouse and Brewery.

Where else can you go to that gives you all the salad and bread sticks you can eat, and they are delicious? You can have your salad and entrรฉes sprinkled with some fresh grated Parmesan cheese if you like. They will ask you if you want some before they start grating. You get plenty of food, and what you can not eat makes for a great lunch the next day. I do believe in doggy bags - not for the dog, but for me!
Because of the prices, we only go to this Italian Restaurant on special occasions. Italian restaurants are not known to be inexpensive anyway. There are three Italian restaurants we go to in this area, and all of them are pricey, so we save these restaurants for our special gatherings of friends and family, and our occasional special dates, like an anniversary or birthday celebration. Their is a special children's menu for the kids with favorites like Macaroni and Cheese or Spaghetti for less than $5.00. Their meal includes a free drink and salad.
I'm not much for spaghetti, so I go for all the other entrรฉes on the menu. I like to have several choices to choose from like I do at the Olive Garden. My favorite Italian Restaurant is in Felton, California - Mama Mia's - and nothing has ever compared to that one for us. I was excited there was an Olive Garden in Victorville when we moved here because I had never been to an Olive Garden as yet. I found it to be a great place to eat Italian food. I can only give it a great rating, because Mama Mia's gets my excellent rating.

For my birthdays each year, all I have asked for is a Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake. Cake and ice-cream all together for one delicious, scrumptious dessert. I have used Baskin-Robbins in the past for birthday parties. Besides having an ice-cream cake, I've ordered clown cones for the children, which is basically an ice cream cone up-side down on the plate decorated like a clown. They add to the festivity of the party, especially if your theme is circus and clowns. I do believe I have passed on my passion for Baskin-Robbins ice cream cakes to my daughter, who now requests one for her birthdays.
Just for the record, I love ice cream!

This is the restaurant to go to when you can't decide exactly what you want for dinner. There are plenty of food choices at the Sizzler. My husband and I always go there for the all-you-can eat salad bar. Lots of various salad ingredients to make yourself a huge salad of your choice. You can be creative and make yourself an Italian Salad, a Mexican Salad, a California Salad, or better yet, just A Little Bit Of Everything Salad. Then there is the ice cream with toppings for dessert, plus other dessert choices such as brownies, cakes, or cookies. The salad bar area is always kept full of delectable food served fresh all day long. Plus, if you so desire, there is platters of food to order. You can order a steak, seafood, or chicken plate from the menu, and add on the salad bar too if you want. Your orders are taken when you first arrive (expect a line during meal times) and then paid for. You seat yourself, and a waitress immediately comes and bring you plates, bread, and anything else you need. They constantly keep tabs on you during your meal with clean plates, drink refills, more bread, and whatever else you need to have a fine dining experience in their establishment.
The prices are reasonable for families. Children under 10 years old eat for $4.99. Ten years old and over eat for $6.99 until 4:00 pm, and $8.49 after that. The kids that are under 3 years old eat for free from the salad bar.
Other buffets in the area can be so crowded you can't move around the food counters without bumping into someone, or waiting in a line again for some particular food you want. These things never happen to us at the Sizzler, which makes for a more calm and pleasant eating experience.
I have not liked every Sizzler Restaurant that I have gone to, but I definitely like the one in Hesperia. Even though we live in Apple Valley, we will drive all the way to Main Street in Hesperia for a buffet at the Sizzler.

This restaurant is neither good nor bad. It is average. When I first moved to Apple Valley, I just loved this restaurant and took many of my guests there. The place was enlarged for more seating areas, which shortened the waiting time. They have a beautiful decor of Victorian Country. So eating in that atmosphere is certainly a plus for the ladies! But, then, as time went on, I started losing interest in the place. Mostly because of the food. The apple they put on my plate always seemed to be mushy, and I hate mushy apples! The extra large lunch salads seemed to be getting smaller. The food just did not seem appealing to me anymore. My friend and I stopped going there for lunch, and my husband and I haven't been there for dinner for ages. I would suggest you go once to try it out and see what you think. A lot of people in this area still eat there and keep it quite busy most of the day. And, I'll go back there again one of these days.

I have gone to Dinapoli's Fire House Restaurant many times for many reasons - dinner dates with my husband - lunches with friends - entertaining friends and family - celebrations. This place has a beautiful setting - you feel like you are sitting inside of a firehouse, firetruck and all! The food is fantastic, the service is great, and the decor is extraordinary. I recommend this place for a romantic evening too because they have private booths, soft music, soft lighting, wine, and delicious food. We need great restaurants in Apple Valley. This restaurant is definitely a keeper. It is well worth the trip.

Do you want a quick meal that tastes delicious and the prices are fair? Then go to Pollo Bravo's restaurant in Apple Valley, that sits right next to the Apple Valley Post Office. They have some seating inside and a drive-thru window. We love their burritos, chicken dinners, and tacos. You'll see us there about once-a-week, eating at one of the booths or ordering take-out. And if your preference is for tamales, then call them at 760-240-1302 and see if you can order some in advance for your next family gathering, since tamales are not on their regular menu. They were a hit at my husband's birthday party! When we eat there, I feel like we have been invited to a local family's house to enjoy some of their home cooked food.

This restaurant has a joyful kid like atmosphere! If you don't care for some noise with talking, happy sounds of glee, and lots of laughter and singing, don't even bother to go here. This restaurant is definitely for families, parties, young people, and the people who are "childlike at heart".
We took my husband's Aunt here for her birthday. They sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a free dessert. She was feeling very young again that day, with this kind of personal attention which is usually only reserved for the wee ones.
I don't go here very often because of the prices of the meals, but I do go here once-an-awhile for fun. It is inexpensive to feed the children though. All of the items on the children's menu is $4.29 for such things as Red Robin's Burgers, Chicken Fingers, and Pizza.
Oh yes, by the way, the food is delicious, and they have a lot of choices to pick from like sandwiches, salads, pastas, etc.

My husband and I like to go to this Mexican restaurant on occasion for a date. The employees are attentive to your needs. The food is excellent. They give you plenty to eat. I always love it when a Mexican restaurant gives you a salad with your meal. Of course, you can get soup instead, but I like having my leafy green vegetable for the day. And, I definitely like their decor. There is only one complaint - I wish the bathrooms could be updated and cleaner. Why do so many eating establishments want to skimp on your bathroom experience?
