After an extensive search for a dentist who is sympathetic to my problems, gentle, thorough in his evaluations, and more interested in me than money; I have finally located such a person in Steven Blech, DDS.
The office staff is friendly and kind to you. They all have smiles for you from the time you enter their office till you leave. The hygienists are very sweet and quite sympathetic to your needs. As my jaw began to ache, the hygienist stopped cleaning my teeth so I could relax my face with a heated towel. She also gave me a couple of ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation. Besides seeing her that day, I had also seen the dentist that morning!
Steven Blech also stopped on occasion as needed so I could take a rest while he was working on me. It has been a long time since I have had a dentist that took interest in my comfort. Dr. Blech doesn't seem eager to go onto his next patient until he has you taken care of. I am a new patient, so it took a few minutes at the beginning to fill out my forms, then pictures were taken by Judy, who talked and kept me calm during the whole process, and after that Dr. Blech checked my gums, tongue, and jaws. He also took care of a problem I have been having for two years, from a previous dentist's mistake, in five minutes. He took out the floss that had gotten stuck into the gum line and told me there was a small indentation on the tooth that the floss got stuck under and wouldn't come out. He removed that bump on that tooth as well as the height of the crown I received two years ago. My question is - why couldn't the other dentist see these problems and taken care of them two years ago, when Dr. Blech was able to take care of these problems in five minutes? Could it be that Dr. Blech is more thorough and knowledgeable in his work? I do think that is the answer! I also think it is because Dr. Blech is concerned with patients and not in having the biggest dental office in Victor Valley.
I will be recommending Dr. Blech to anyone that asks me. Besides hearing about Dr. Blech on the Judy's Book website, I also found out that my best friend had been going to Dr. Steven Blech for years. I should have asked her about her dentist a long time ago!

Parking is often hard to find at Newport Beach Pier in Orange county, but the reward of a peaceful afternoon searching for small seashells and watching the waves is worth the effort. The beach is clean, the beach goers are friendly, with a variety of store and eateries nearby.

I do believe that would be Big Bear Lake. Start off with a delicious breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon at Grizzly Manor Cafe' on Big Bear Boulevard. The "Polar Bear" is the biggest breakfast, and "The Mess" is all that it's cracked up to be!
After starting out your day with a great breakfast, you might drive down to the Big Bear Discovery Center on North Shore Drive to join the center's naturalists for an introduction to the outdoors on a hike. They have a movie about the area and a demonstration of the animals that live in the area. The Discovery Center also has a gift shop.
If you love animals, you should also take a drive to Goldmine Drive and see the Moonridge Animal Park. It is $5.00 per person, $4.00 for seniors and young children. See some of the more than 200 wild animals that are rehabilitated here every year. Those that can't survive in the wild, including bobcats, wolves, mountain lions, a snow leopard, and even a family of grizzlies from Yellowstone national Park, stay here for good.
The lake's great, but it's just the starting point for an excursion to Big Bear Lake. At this high altitude getaway in the San Bernardino Mountains you can hike trails that interlace forestland. You can browse many shops to find new bear species made out of hand-carved wood, stuffed plush, and even chocolate. But don't forget the lake! Reflect on trying your hand at boating, fishing, or parasailing. Take a beautiful ride around the lake as the captain of the ship recounts Big Bear lake's history.
You will never tire of the many activities that are available in this resort area all year round. Right now there are the snow activities like skiing, snowshoe trails, snow boarding, and sledding. There is always the bowling alley on Big Bear Blvd. to enjoy some indoor activities like bowling and pool.

We have car, earthquake, home owner's insurance with Allstate. Because of their excellent prices and helpful agents we have stayed with Allstate for 37 years. There has never been a reason to look elsewhere.
One way to show your love for your family is to slow down while you are driving to avoid an accident. I know we are all guilty. We are stressed out, in a big rush, and can't seem to get where we are going fast enough. But, stop and think about it for a minute or two. How quickly do we really need to get to our desks, the supermarket or the dentist's office chair? Not so quickly if we think about the results of injury to your loved one or someone else's.
You will get rewarded by Allstate when you have no claims. But they do have an accident forgiveness policy where they will not raise your rates because of an accident. You can get a safe driving bonus for no tickets or accidents in your history. Go without an accident and they will reward you with $100 off your deductible for every year of safe driving, up to $500. I have never used this reward since I have never had an accident in my car, but you never know when it will come in handy.
You can go to your local agent and review your policy once-a-year to make sure you are insured accurately. Has anything changed in your life? Did you add on a porch to your house? Did you buy some art work that needs to be insured? They will send you a reminder in case you forget.
And, if you don't make your payment in time to be mailed, you can go right into their office and have your account immediately paid with your check or money you have brought in. This also saves one stamp for another bill that isn't as convenient to take care. They don't even mind the interruption. They are glad to see their clients occasionally and to get to know them better.

I just went shopping at the Dollar Store this weekend. It was full of items to give children or adults a package of Valentine gifts. My grandchildren love receiving a Valentine's box from me each year. I purchased coloring books with a dog with a red heart on his chest. The big coloring books are full of activities from pages to color, dot-to-dots, and color-by-numbers. I also found a couple of children's books, $1.00 each, to go with heart-shaped book markers. My granddaughter will be receiving wall stickers of princesses and my grandson will receive wall stickers of Nemo and his friends, only for $1.00 each! They had the small boxes of candy hearts which I purchased for their box.
They also had shelves of Valentine's Day wrapping paper, bags, bows and cards. One shelf included boxes and boxes of Valentine cards for children to give to friends in their neighborhood or at school. One shelf included a large selection of candles for Valentine's Day. There was a stand full of heart-shaped erasers and pencils. Plenty of Valentine stickers to give as a gift or to be used by yourself on your greeting cards. They also had ceramic Valentine bears, red and pink vases, decorative plastic wine glasses, red bowls and plates, Valentine buckets for gift giving, red flowers, etc.
Oh, by the way, they are already stocking their shelves with plenty of goodies for Easter!!

For our neighborhood I would suggest the Outback Steakhouse. There might be a wait, but it will be worth it in the end. The steaks are delicious - melt in your mouth good! The specialties are always great to try. The onion ring is a great appetizer to begin with. And the bar has plenty of drinks to choose from. I love the red wines that are available. My husband goes for the beers.
The atmosphere is casual. The staff is well-trained and eager to serve you and make your stay at the Steakhouse very enjoyable. They act like they are your old-time friends from days gone by. If you go without I would be surprised, for they are always on top of everything and notice right away when you need something at your table. As busy as the restaurant is I find that quite amazing.
This is the kind of place I would enjoy spending Valentine's Day with my husband. A gift to go along with the meal will definitely touch my heart and make me feel very loved by my man! So, if you want to treat your spouse to an evening out, and impress her with your generosity, pick her favorite restaurant and enjoy each other's company. I would suggest the Outback in your neighborhood, especially if she loves steak. All of these restaurants are good places to go to no matter where you live.

I got my maroon Nissan Altima in 2001. ( Now that color would be great for a Valentine's present!) I have been so happy with my purchase. It runs great. It never needs checkups. It is really just like the energizer bunny - it just keeps going and going and going. It is now the year of 2007 and the Nissan Altima still looks brand new and runs just as great as the day I purchased it.
My sister-in-law just bought herself one when she saw how great ours was. Same model, but a different color, and more updated since it is a 2006 car.
Before I bought the Nissan, I had owned a Honda and a Toyota. I actually have enjoyed all three of my cars over the years, but I must say the Nissan is probably the best one out of the three. It rides smoother. It has all the extras I never had before like power windows, car alarm, individual passenger lights, a CD player and so much more. So many of these things are standards with cars anymore, but when you get your very first one, like I have, you feel very spoiled by all the magical gadgets. My car won't even let me take out my key from the ignition until I put it in park. Never had that before!
I love the color maroon. I wasn't sure at first when I bought the car. I kept telling my husband this is not at all the color I was expecting to buy. Now, I am so glad I did. When you wash it up, put on some wax, and park it out in the sun it just shines.
They make cars so much better these days then they ever did before. They go many more miles now before they need a tune-up. Remember those days when you had to take a car to the dealer every 15,000 miles? Now, you can wait until you have 52,000 miles on the car. Regular oil changes is the best bet for a lasting motor on any car.
