Best prices in town and a great selection. I've done my entire 1892 Victorian in hardwood flooring form Lumber Liquidators. I've bought their pre-finished wood, only and it's first quality. If it is not first quality, it is labeled as such and priced accordingly.
They fellows over there are also great at answering questions--especially from the do-it-yourself-er. They also have the best resources for renting the hammer you need to install. If you go on a Saturday, you will wait for service and the showroom is small.

Every bride with whom I have worked that used the Perfect Petal has been thrilled with their services and the quality of their flowers.

They cater to wholesale (so if you have a business license and sales tax ID, bring it with you and get into their files) but they will sell at retail, too. They are a huge store of everything to do with crafting and more. Silk flowers, wedding supplies, ribbons, candles, you name it. They always have free popcorn at the front desk, too!
Check out their holiday room in the back left side of the shop. It's great! I bought my Christmas artificial tree there a few years back and everyone swears it's a real tree when they first see it.

Visit Stella's for a great Italian food treat. Of course--all of their entrées are good, even if they aren't Italian. In the summer, you can dine al fresco and watch the world go by on 32nd Avenue while you partake of their magnificent menu. Their indoors is small (one room) and always crowded, but it is very charming.
Their menu is varied and many items most affordable. The chef seems to like to try different things from time to time which is refreshing. Their warm Whipped Gorgonzola & Walnut Spread is to die for!. I believe they also offer a Sunday brunch, which I cannot attest to, but if it as good as their dinners, then you'll be in for a treat.
Other than being a bit tight on space, the only other drawback is a tight parking situation, but that is the deal for the Highlands shops. It's well worth it, however!

Their food is the best, topped only by their ice cream and chocolates (which you have to walk by to get to your table--these people are deviously clever!!) It has an ice-cream parlor feel, but they do have a complete menu as well. Great for lunch with kids. Their sandwiches are filled will all kinds of good things and their French fries are exquisite! They also have a good-sized children's menu.
But if you only get one thing at Michelle's let it be ice cream. It is the creamiest tasting and they have so many flavors and toppings, you won't know how to decide! It's a great stop between Colorado Springs attractions.

Kids can pet the barnyard animals, play on the play ground or visit the tree house. There's also a great country gift shop to poke in while you're waiting for a table--which you most likely will have to do at this popular and crowded attraction. Reservations are not accepted unless you have a large group
After your yummy family-style meal, be sure your kids get their token to select a gift form the treasure chest. In warm weather, they also offer horse-drawn carriage rides. In short, this is more than just a great meal, it's several hours of family entertainment.

Thanks to one rude young man who works here, I won't be back. This little shop was SO much better when it was Lisa Marie's.
I had planned to check out Tennyson Street Coffee for a lunch date I was planning with a girlfriend. Not knowing if they served lunch items and walking past one day, I popped in to inquire an to have a look around. The young man behind the counter was engage din a conversation that was obviously of a personal nature when I arrived. he asked if he could help me--making it plain that I was an intrusion on his social life--and I politely noted the sandwiches in the cooler (not made fresh, which disappointment me) and told him I was checking out their items to see if they did, indeed serve lunch as I planned to return in a few days time. His response was to totally ignore me and turn back to his companion! Apparently since I was not buying that day, I was not worth giving the time of day to.
Too bad--he lost a potential loyal customer. Perhaps this establishment should spend more effort on training their employees to offer better service and forgo the coupons for $.50 off in the mail.

Small and homey, this is a great spot to grab a yummy and fast lunch or breakfast. It will remind you or the family restaurants you visited as a kid--complete with stools at the counter. Their fare is not posh--but i's not supposed to be. It's good old fashioned comfort food, served up with big portions with a smile! I'll take it over fast food places any day--the quality is fresh and the ambiance is quaint and clean. You'll be warmly greeted at the door, stuffed full an don your way before you can say, "would you like fires with that?"
And speaking of fries, their's are awesome!

Although it's a little smoky for my dining pleasure, I still enjoy this restaurant. It reminds me of the "Cheers" set with a long bar dominating the room and lot of wood textures. Smoke from the bar patrons does tend to waft over into the dining section, which is the only thing that slightly mars the ambiance of this place. Their condiments are served in cardboard beer six pack cases, which add a whimsical touch--they also keep things well organized. Their fries and burgers are way above average and the turkey sandwich I had there was yummy! I also like their nachos.
Try it for a casual meal out.
