A great choice for your wedding ceremony and reception. Meadows at Marshdale does weddings and they do them well. Have your ceremony outdoors in their spacious ceremony area (a short walk from the main building). They'll set up all the chairs and everything else you need for a never-to-be-forgotten nuptial.
For the reception, adjourn to their spacious dining room, complete with tons of white lights, a great sound system for dancing and a second floor balcony area for additional seating.
They have lots of room in the basement for the bride and her party to get ready in and an extensive vendor list for you to find quality wedding services on any budget.

I have performed a number of weddings at the Aspen Lodge and they never let me down with their service, setting or food. Their newest addition is an aspen grove where they have wooden benches for your unique wedding ceremony. It's so pretty!
Their indoor weddings are equally as lovely, with floor to ceiling windows in the reception room (you can have you ceremony there too). Their food is yummy and their staff accommodating. The rooms are comfortable as well and you can have all of your out of town guests stay there and it will be so convenient for the big day. It is truly a taste of the Rockies!

Even if you're not Catholic or Christian, this is still an awe-inspiring visit--if only for the view. You can actually see the Mother Cabrini statue from the highway as you pass below it, but that doesn't do it justice. A place of pilgrimage and reflection for Catholics, the shrine offers a respite for people of all faiths (or none at all).
Even though it looks daunting, do climb the bazillion steps to the top of the shrine (okay, I don't know exactly how many there are--but it FEELS like a bazillion!) As long as you are in good health (visitors beware the altitude), this will be a breathtaking (literally!) experience that you won't forget.
The shrine also offers daily and Sunday masses.

I took several classes there, both group and private and loved them all. Our instructor was Georgiana and she is delightful and also quite talented. You don't have to have a partner to join--they are quite adept at making sure that people match up and every gal dances with every guy before the night is over, so you really can't tell who is there with a partner and who isn't. And switching partners is a great way to get into the dance--you learn to adjust to a variety of talent and not just that of your significant other.
beginner dancers can be somewhat intimidated by trying something new, but the staff here goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable. They have Saturday night dances with free lessons beforehand if you just want to try it out. Ward Carter is a great place to take dance classes for your wedding, but for those i would recommend the private class, where you get more intensive instruction and learn to dance your best with the one person who matters.

This is a New York deli at its finest!! The bread is thick, fresh and the variety is amazing. If you can stick it between two slices of bread and consider it yummy, they will have it (or they'll make it up special). Lots of local reading material is available along the window sills for your reading enjoyment as you munch your crunchy pickles and eat your delectable sandwich. Note--for those with smaller to average appetites, a half sandwich will do--it comes with a pickle and a side dish of slaw, potato salad, etc.
The ambiance is great. One caveat--a recent visit 40 minutes before closing time on a Friday night had the staff already putting away many of their offerings, which was a disappointment.

Such a refreshing change from the big impersonal chain stores. This place has fresh product, high quality and one-on-one personal service. Organic, natural, simply made products with knowledgeable staff. Their deli in the back offers fresh and varied meal selections with a smile. They have lots of community postings and reading material there, so it has a real neighborhood feel. I often buy a sandwich and then sit out front on the sidewalk in one of their chairs to watch the world go by on Tennyson!

Okay, the dentist is never fun to most of us (unless you're a bit...well..."different") but the folks over at Denver West do make it pleasant. My biggest praise is that they get you in and out in a timely manner. I've had my teeth cleaned there for years (every 6 months!) and I am always taken back to the chair within three minutes of my scheduled time and sometimes even early!
They give you only what you need--don't over x-ray, over-drill or over crown!! I feel very comfortable with Dr. Sam's recommendations and advice. Their staff is cordial and interested in my oral health--I never feel like any old patient. I'm not dentist-phobic, but if you are, this would be a great dentist to try for they are patient and gentle.

I'm a native New Englander, so I'm used to short, curt, even borderline unfriendly service, but this Big Lots location has any taciturn Bostonian beat hands down. I've visited this spot many times. (I'm usually dead set against going where I'm not treated well, but the bargains are VERY good!) and I'm always appalled at the lack of customer service. On occasion, for example, I was in a very long line to check out. Another clerk came over to the next checkout which had been closed, positioned herself behind the register and simply STOOD there. Apparently she was open for business (no light went on to indicate such) and figured she'd just stand there silently until we figured it out. When someone (not me) called over and inquired if she was "open" we received an perturbed "yeah".
WOW!! Could you fake a LITTLE enthusiasm???? And something similar to this happens nearly every time I go. My advice is to check out some of the other locations. The one on Broadway had a more friendly staff. Or forgo the bargains--sometimes you just get what you pay for!

I'm never disappointed when I pop into this store, be it for an entire bedroom ensemble (which I bought) or a switch plate cover. It's just got great ambiance and a knowledgeable sales staff. The poor faucet guy must have gotten very tired of me last year when I peppered him with a million questions before buying my kitchen faucet. But, he didn't show it.
It's a great place to get design ideas, as well, with lots of sample kitchens and baths set up on display. You'll get inspired to create the home of your dreams.
Be forewarned that their checkouts are often limited and their checkers occasionally seem harried and not as effervescent as their sales staff.
