Although it's a little smoky for my dining pleasure, I still enjoy this restaurant. It reminds me of the "Cheers" set with a long bar dominating the room and lot of wood textures. Smoke from the bar patrons does tend to waft over into the dining section, which is the only thing that slightly mars the ambiance of this place. Their condiments are served in cardboard beer six pack cases, which add a whimsical touch--they also keep things well organized. Their fries and burgers are way above average and the turkey sandwich I had there was yummy! I also like their nachos.
Try it for a casual meal out.

located in Old Town, Arvada, the Thai Chili Asian Grill has amazingly good food at affordable prices. The decor is a bit flamboyant--note the fire engine red front door--this leads to an equally bright green interior.. The spices are equally generous in their fresh food offerings and I found the fare savory each time I visited there.
The portions are large and as you look around the room, you see everyone heartily digging in. Conversation abundantly here. The appetizer sampler is a meal in and of itself. (The cheese wontons are my favorite.)
Servers there are always pleasant and helpful. Try it for a pleasing evening. They also have takeout.

The Richard Hart Estate is owned and operated by the city of Wheat Ridge. The grounds are lovely and a beautiful backdrop for you wedding pictures. It has a wide expanse of lawn and lovely gardens in the summer. It can accommodate up to 100 people and they allow you to bring in your own vendors
The only drawback is that the inside is two rooms, so if you do have 100 people for your wedding,t hey are separated. It's really better suited for 50 people at most. Also, if you rent this facility, you are responsible for all clean up and trash disposal, so be sure to delegate this out unless you want to be hauling trash on your wedding day. Parking is limited but not impossible.

This is where I go when my budget is tight and my desire for good Mexican food is high! They frequently offer coupons, so are a good resource when you might be a tad low on cash. The staff is courteous and will seat you right away, usually. This restaurant is good-sized, so even when it's busy, you don't usually have to wait long. The margaritas are cold and well-made and coupled with their chicken fajitas, make for a tasty meal that I keep coming back for again and again.

I never have to wait long for these guys to deliver my pizza and they always get my order right, which is more than I can say for their larger competition. The crust is soft and chewy and the sauce has a marvelous flavor. Mostly, though, I like that their delivery people are always fast and courteous. It's a pleasure to have them arrive at my door.
Their chicken alfredo pizza is one of my favorites--with a white sauce it's a little different than traditional fare and it's goooooood!

I rented a bike here as a surprise for a friend and needless to say, I had absolutely no clue as to how to go about doing so. the guys at Blue Sky were amazingly kind and patient and my friend and I had a wonderful motorcycling experience because of it.
These guys coached me through the ins and outs of which bike to rent, went over all the features of the bike I selected, gave my friend a refresher lesson on how to drive it and even helped us plan out the best 3-day route. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to rent a motorcycle--and they had a wide variety of styles, too.

Small and homey, this is a great spot to grab a yummy and fast lunch or breakfast. It will remind you or the family restaurants you visited as a kid--complete with stools at the counter. Their fare is not posh--but i's not supposed to be. It's good old fashioned comfort food, served up with big portions with a smile! I'll take it over fast food places any day--the quality is fresh and the ambiance is quaint and clean. You'll be warmly greeted at the door, stuffed full an don your way before you can say, "would you like fires with that?"
And speaking of fries, their's are awesome!

Thanks to one rude young man who works here, I won't be back. This little shop was SO much better when it was Lisa Marie's.
I had planned to check out Tennyson Street Coffee for a lunch date I was planning with a girlfriend. Not knowing if they served lunch items and walking past one day, I popped in to inquire an to have a look around. The young man behind the counter was engage din a conversation that was obviously of a personal nature when I arrived. he asked if he could help me--making it plain that I was an intrusion on his social life--and I politely noted the sandwiches in the cooler (not made fresh, which disappointment me) and told him I was checking out their items to see if they did, indeed serve lunch as I planned to return in a few days time. His response was to totally ignore me and turn back to his companion! Apparently since I was not buying that day, I was not worth giving the time of day to.
Too bad--he lost a potential loyal customer. Perhaps this establishment should spend more effort on training their employees to offer better service and forgo the coupons for $.50 off in the mail.

Okay, when I find toys billed as antiques that I played with as a child, they can't really be antiques...can they???
My ego aside, this is a wonderful store. It is very large and stocked from floor to ceiling with fun items of yester-year. Remember Tinker Toys? They have 'em. Erector sets, too. Also antique kitchenware, jewelery, furniture, toys and dolls. Well-organized and not haphazardly piled and scattered like so many other antique stores, the Yankee Trader is a pleasure to walk through--especially if you're of a "certain age"! Take your kids and grandkids and explain what some of the things are--they will laugh themselves silly!
