This is the place to host your BIG wedding. This event center is very large and the dramatic center stage a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. Their large bar and lounge area in the back is a perfect spot for your guests to meet and mingle while they wait for you to have your photos taken. The dance floor is quite large and your guests will enjoy being able to spread out--no bumping elbows while you boogie. Their in-house catering offers very good food that is well presented. There is an outdoor patio, lots of free parking and a beautiful bridal changing suite. All in all, Copper Fields is a very good value as well.

Cozy couches, high energy and a friendly staff make this my favorite place to meet friends for a drink after work. It's not very big, so it gets crowded! The bar is marvelous--plop yourself on a bar stool and watch the pretty people mingle. All ages seem to fit in well here, with the 30 and up set probably the most predominant. It's both classy and funky, relaxing and stimulating. You just have to try it out--you'll see!
The appetizers are great, but expensive. East somewhere else and drink here! Great place to try different wines.

I like Teddy's for a variety of dance music--songs that folks over 40 have heard of! Don't classify this as an "older folk's" dance place, though, for on the few times I've been there, I've seen a great variety of ages. The music will get you into it and you'll be up there dancing away in no time. it's very casual and laid back--everyone is just here for a good time. It does get crowded though, so do expect to wait for a table and sometimes your drink order, too.
Put your dancing shoes on and check them out!

This is where I go when my budget is tight and my desire for good Mexican food is high! They frequently offer coupons, so are a good resource when you might be a tad low on cash. The staff is courteous and will seat you right away, usually. This restaurant is good-sized, so even when it's busy, you don't usually have to wait long. The margaritas are cold and well-made and coupled with their chicken fajitas, make for a tasty meal that I keep coming back for again and again.

Men caught wearing a necktie will have them promptly snipped off! If you doubt it, just check the walls lined with the remnants of those who dared enter over-dressed!
The huge slide in the middle of the room will keep the kiddies busy. When they tire of that, then the roaming balloon clown will make them a special something of their choosing. Although the pace is a bit frenetic, your kids will have a ball and the food (with a heavy emphasis on beef an' taters) is actually quite tasty. Of course it's louder than anything in there, but that's to be expected. The wait staff is great, given all they have to juggle and it makes for a fun visit.

I've been getting my hair cut, colored, styled, straightened, etc. by these folks for many years. No matter which stylist I have (and you can request) I am thrilled with the result. They also offer Aveda products--lots of them--and the staff is knowledgeable about their use.
In addition to understanding hair, the stylists are friendly without being intrusive and overall it's just a great experience to get your hair done there. If you are NEVER happy with your cut--then try them. You might be surprised. Plus, they listen to what you want!

She listened to me tell her what I wanted, made some suggestions and got to work--explaining to me the entire time what she was doing and why. It was very interesting and the cut came out great. She used some hair product on me but did not pressure me to buy any. It worked--I bought it anyway and I love it!
You can't make appointments at Cost Cutters but you can call ahead to get on their list and you can request a certain stylist. For the money, you can't beat them.

THIS is where you must go for your romantic night away. Their rooms are just what you'd expect for this Victorian era bed and breakfast. A couple of the rooms have private and secluded outdoor hot tubs and of course those are the ones that book up first, so advance notice is needed if you want a popular night.
Beware that some of the rooms have only full-sized beds, so be sure and find out the bed size beforehand if that is important to you. Each and every room has marvelous personal touched, though, regardless of its size.
Castle Marne is also a wonderful place to host your smaller intimate wedding. the staff will go out of their way to insure your complete satisfaction.

We hosted my daughter's wedding at the Lumber Baron and it was a perfect day. Owner Walter Keller allows clients to bring in their own caterers, so you have the flexibility of offering whatever kind of meal you choose. Summer weddings can be performed in their beautiful outdoor gardens with the reassurance of their third-floor ballroom as a rainy-day alternative. Guests have the run of the beautiful late-1800's Victorian with its period pieces and exquisite details.
Off peak pricing makes this an affordable venue as well.

My daughter had her wedding at the Lumber Baron and we couldn't have been more pleased. The outdoor ceremony was held in there beautiful backyard garden with roses and other flowers abundant. The Lumber Baron allows you to bring in your own vendors (caterer, DJ, florist, etc) so you can have a lot of choice in making your day special. In addition to their outdoor area, they have a beautiful inside as well, with Victorian antiques throughout, a gorgeous staircase, and a third-floor ballroom.
Owner Walter Keller will be happy to give you a tour and tell you the history of this beautiful building. The guest rooms are spacious and comfy--each with a private bath and each with it's own unique flavor. Call them for information on their murder mystery dinners, too. they are so much fun!
