I decided to go to Oceanaire for the 25 for $25 deal going on in the month of March. On a Tuesday night we could only get reservations at 6pm for two. It was definitely slow when we arrived, but by the time our dessert came around the place was packed with people.
Our waiter was great, he was very excited to tell us all about the menu and how to read it, which I found to be very helpful. He made a wine recommendation for me and he was right on with the flavor I was going for. He was very knowledgeable about the entire menu including the wine list.
I found it refreshing to get something in addition to your typical basket of bread and butter. We also got a nice little veggie dish, the highlight being the pickled cod, I think it was cod, anyway it was very very good!
I ordered the Burley Lagoon Oysters on the Half Shell, which were good, I guess I'm a bigger fan of grilled oysters and not raw. My dining partner ordered the Borsch a'la Rousse, I was wary at first, until I stole a bite, and now I'm a believer.
From there I went on to order the Pistachio Crusted California Swordfish, which was excellent. My friend ordered the Slow Braised Lamb Shoulder which was even more excellent! It was covered in gnocchi, which I love.
Our waiter was attentive to us, but not in an annoying way. We even had the bread crumbs combed off of our table, I don't think I've ever seen that before so I was pretty impressed!
The menu is definitely pricey, we actually managed to get out of there for under $100, but I don't think that is typical. You get what you pay for, great service and great food come at a price right?
I'll definitely go back, seems like a great place to take family and friends.

Yup that's right, I found a hair in my avocado roll. When the waitress found out I had a hair in my roll she immediately ordered me new ones and felt really bad about it, so they did the right thing, and I still think that their food is great. I've just lost that lunch craving that I used to have for their sushi.
They are in a great location on Eastlake and have very friendly servers.

I've been going to Andy's for breakfast for the past 9 years, and I'm still seeing the same faces! I was just there this past Sunday for my Mom's birthday breakfast and I ran into my old Spanish teacher from High School, my best friend's Dad, my bus driver from elementary school, and my next door neighbor. I don't recommend coming here if you are trying to avoid running in to people you know - it's impossible to that here.
Their breakfast menu is pretty big: waffles, pancakes, a variety of omelets, eggs, hash browns and every combo of the above that you can think of.

If your a big fan of the Aussie's or if you are an actual Aussie yourself then you must stop in here for a beer, or an "amber fluid" as they call it. There isn't a single wall in the pub that is not covered in Rugby paraphernalia, and I'm guessing the big screen is always playing a game for people to watch.
On Wednesday nights at 8:30pm they have trivia night - make sure you get there early to get a table and chairs though as the place fills up fast! It's $5 per team to play, I think 1st place takes it all, not sure what 2nd gets, and 3rd place gets a free pitcher of beer.
Whether you are there for trivia night or for a rugby game I'm sure you'll have a great time. Cheers!

I give them two stars because the actual work that was done wasn't bad, I have no complaints with that. It was the customer service and the way they treated me that makes me want to give them a 1 star! Here's my story . . .
I was on my way to work one morning and BAMM out of no where was hit on the drivers side, from a lady who decided to gun it out of her driveway without checking for other cars, real smart. Anyway I pull over, she's ok, I'm ok, I check my car and at first glance everything looks ok. I tell her that I'll get it checked out and find out how much the damage is going to be and give her a call. So I take off for Seattle Automotive, and on the way there my car starts to smoke, and I have to be towed to the place. Ok so I get there and they tell me that they will take a look at it for me and give me a call after they asses the damage and find out how much its going to cost. This is the part in the story where things get a bit ugly.
First they tell me that what caused my car to smoke was not a result of my car being hit, and that it was going to cost me some obscene amount of money. Then they tell me that if I want they will tell the insurance guy that it was a result of the accident and the lady should pay for it. hmmmm what to do what to do.
I get a call a few days later about how much it is going to cost me to get the car fixed. (Not cheap) I've also been on bike now for a few days, and am a bit irritated about not being called earlier letting me know that my car is still there and that they are doing the best they can to asses the damage in a timely matter.
Every time I called to ask about my car I got a different answer. I could just picture them saying to themselves that this was a girl who didn't know a thing about cars and that they could really tell me anything they wanted and I would buy into it. At one point they even told me that I had to spend the money that I got from the insurance company at their auto shop and that it was impossible to take my car to another shop, this isn't true right?
I'm getting all heated up just recalling all the details!
The next thing that happened was that they started work on my car without me approving the work or the quote that they gave me, can you believe it?
When they called to let me know my car was done, they said they would wash and detail it for me. So I dropped off my rental car and got dropped off there. Like I said above the work on the car looked good, the car itself was not washed or detailed - they said they knew I needed my car back soon and they didn't want to keep me any longer. They said I could drop it off one day that week and they would wash it up for me - They really were not thinking on this one - I had already got rid of the rental car, and I really didn't feel like biking it for another day!!
To top the whole thing off, when I got in my car my air conditioning was broken. They said they had nothing to do with that, even though I gave them my car with a working air conditioner. They promptly gave me a $300 quote to get it fixed.
The next time I have car trouble I'll be looking for a different business to spend my money and time with - any recommendations?

I went to The Pink Door for Valentine's day with my boyfriend and another couple. We were all dressed to the nines for our night out, and expected everyone else to be all spiffed up as well, but that just wasn't the case. The restaurant appeals to all styles - I saw a couple in jeans, a group of kids who looked like they were going to prom, and others who were just out for a good time.
The decor is fun and funky and the wait staff is the same. Not a huge menu but what they have is great. I had the house red wine and thought it was fantastic!

I've been working with John from Precise Printing for a while now and have nothing but great thanks to say about his work and customer service that he provides.
We have used him to print letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and other artwork. No task is too big for John! He is great about explaining your options and the quality of those options, and he does a great job at taking your budget and giving you the best bang for your buck! If he can't give you the best price than he always give me the name of another company that can.
I've had a couple of projects that I've been in a rush to get done and John has always completed them on time for me, sometimes even staying late so that I could stop by and pick them up.
I used to think that Kinkos was the answer to everything, but after doing some serious price comparing I now know that I'm done with Kinkos for good. One print job that I needed to get done was going to cost me $36 at Kinkos and John only charged me $2.50!!
I highly recommend Precise Printing to anyone looking to get any type of print job done, I'm positive you will be very pleased with the work and customer service that you receive.

This past weekend was my first hair cut at Rebecca's Galleria Salon, and it won't be my last! Lyndsay Rodgers cut my hair and did a fabulous job, if I do say so myself. She is fun, chatty, and . . . .funky. I told her I needed a change, but had no idea what I wanted and she had all sorts of suggestions for me. I decided to go with bangs, something I haven't had since I was 5 - not only did she do a great job, but she cut nice and slow - just in case I wanted to change my mind!
The salon was very nice too, they do pedicures and manicures, makeup and massages. I really enjoyed the inviting plate of cookies in the sitting room too!
The price for a hair cut was $35. - I think that is a great price for the cut that I got!
If you live in the tri-cities and need a simple hair cut or color or even a big change you must go see Lyndsay at Rebecca's Galleria Salon! Lyndsay also was at my sisters wedding and did all of the brides maid's hair, the flower girls hair, and my grandma's hair! Everyone loved her and her style.

My family has ordered every birthday, graduation, and shower cake from here for as long as I can remember. We have also purchased our pies from here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have never heard a single complaint about the desserts here!
They are the kind of cakes that melt in your mouth! The frosting is great too - and I am not a frosting girl! I can't stand store bought frosting, there is always way too much of it and it is always has too much sugar. On these cakes, you can't get enough of it!
I can't complain about the cake designs either, simple but beautiful. Not over the top.
If you need to get desserts for any occasion in the Tri-Cities you need to go to Desserts by Kelly.
As a side note, my favorite is the chocolate cake with raspberry filling!

Great sandwich shop on Brooklyn! Nice place to meet friends for lunch and hang out. They have hot and cold sandwiches and I hear the fries are good too. I had the Turkey Bacon & Swiss Melt and it was great! I also had some of their potato salad and it took my breathe away - it comes in a very close second to my mom's potato salad, and I haven’t come across too many potato salads that can touch my mom's.
The people who work there were great too, very friendly people. They stopped by our table when we were done to make sure everything tasted ok - I was impressed with that and will definitely be back!
