Highly recommended by peers at yelp, my wife and I decided to try this place for brunch on Sat morning. For those people who are not familiar of the plaza layout, the restaurant can be hard to find. The location of this restaurant is between trade Joe and mandarin terrace, and is right next to yarn lady.
Once set down, my wife ordered Thai coffee while I ordered iced tea. While waiting for our drinks, my wife explained to me that the chef for this restaurant used to be a chef at Ritz. She explained that the chef wanted to spend more time with his family, so he opened this restaurant in 2006. This restaurant only open till 3:00pm everyday.
When the waiter brought the coffee and iced tea. I immediately fall in love with the tea. The tropical iced tea has a very different taste than the usual commercial iced tea. No sugar was needed and usually I am the type of person that puts lots of honey or sugar to the tea to cover the bitter taste of the tea. The coffee was also very rich and very tasty.
The menu for the entree is different than what you normally would see. The selection are Beef, Chicken, Duck, ... etc and of course the typical breakfast items such as pancake, waffle, eggs and bacon ... etc. I ordered Beef while my wife ordered the Duck.
When the waiter brought out the dishes, the plating of the dishes were phenomenal. You felt that you are eating at a 5 star restaurant while paying the 3 star restaurant price. Overall, the duck was pretty tasty. I especially enjoyed the duck meat in combination with the rich creamy sauce of cauliflower puree and slight sour taste of the goji berry.
The Beef was great too. The meat were very tender and moist. The two (Merlot seasoned)poached eggs were tasty. The strong smell of red wine in the poached eggs were a a great complement of the beef. The taro bits and mushroom and rice cake within the dish brought a very different experience to the taste but.
After the meal, we had chocolate cream brulee. Unlike typical American desert, the cream brulee was not too sweet and even after you finished the dish, you can still taste the richness of chocolate in your mouth.
I highly recommend going to restaurant for a meal. The outside patio seating is very relaxing. If you ever are around Laguna Hill mall around lunch time, you should definitely try this restaurant.

My wife found this local coffee joint online. Based on the review, my wife and I decided to give this place a try. If you know Aliso Viejo well, this place is actually fairly easy to find. Neighborhood Cup locates right next to Aliso Library.
Once we arrived, we ordered Pa?ini along with a cup of latte and a cup of writer's block (half coffee and half coco) The Pa?ini is not bad. My wife and I did not like blue cheese, and we forgot to mentioned that to the cashier. No fault on the service side, pure ignorant on my part.
The meal includes Pa?ini, a caramel apple (which is creatively carved) and a side dish of the choice. I ordered Gumbo Chicken soup and my wife had the potato.
I was amazed by the coffee. Usually there is a sour taste for me after drinking coffee. Also, I can not drink anything black. But the coffee at this place was so good. I drink it black and the bitter taste did not bother me at all.
If you ever want to spend a nice relax afternoon, Neighborhood Cup is def. the place to go. The place not only offer free wi-fi, due to its location, you can easily check out a book or a magazine from the library next door.

"My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant when a family friend asked if we want to meet with her in this great Japanese restaurant in Huntington Beach. When we arrived around 7, the parking at the plaza was horrible. Virtually there were no space available. I had to park the car around the corner. Once we stepped into the restaurant, our friend wanted to sit at the sushi bar, however the wait on a Thursday night at the sushi bar was 1 and 1/2 hours. Therefore, we just sat at the first available table instead. When we ordered, our friend instructed the waitress to ask the chief at the sushi bar to prepare our rolls instead. She indicated that there is a big difference in quality if you do not specified that.
The first dish that cam was the beef teppan. The beef teppan that we had was so-so. We definitely had better. Even my friend who is a frequent quest at this restaurant was surprised by the quality of the teppan beef. She indicated that the beef should have been very tender, but since our order was not great, I can not comment.
After teppan, we had spider roll, cucumber roll, Caterpillar roll, toro, one night stand (this is not on the menu item, and is actually a name of a roll), yellow tail bowl (or ball, not sure), and (salt) eel roll. The sushi were not bad. One night stand has a smoked avocado to provide the crunchiness. The yellow tail bowl (ball) has raw quail egg with masago on top. The salt eel was smoke to perfection with a slight hint of sweet taste to it.
Overall I think the quality of food was okay. Service is not bad as well, but nothing really stood out versus other typical Japanese restaurants in S. Cal. The most memorable dish of the night, I will probably had to say was the eel roll. I am usually not a big eel person, but the eel roll at this place really had changed my mind."

My wife found this restaurant online in fear of not able to get a table in a popular Japanese Yakitori House, Anjin. (For those who does not know what Japanese Yakitori is, Japanese Yakitori is Japanese BBQ. Thin Slice Meat grilled on an iron skillet with Charcoal.) When we arrived Anjin, we were told to wait for an hour and half, so we decided to try this new place. There is also a line and we had to wait for an hour, however since the wait time is less, we decided to eat at Tsuruhashi. This restaurant was as advertised by the people on the internet. The food are larger (comparing to Anjin) in portion and the waitress were good looking. (Service was good too :)) My wife and I ordered the beef tongue, the short ribs, and the pork cheeks. Overall the food are great and since we did not order any Kobe Beef (since they were out) and no Beer, it took less than $20 per person to fill us up. It was hard for my wife and I to compare this restaurant with Anjin since we haven't been in Anjin for awhile. However, based on our experience, I highly recommended this place to everyone.

My wife and I were first introduced to this restaurant via Entertainment books years ago. My wife loves this place especially the dessert even though their service were slow and their servers are very non-retentive. However, when I took my wife to the restaurant for our first mother's day celebration, I was surprised by the speed of the waiter. For those of you who had never been a fondue place before, the waiter/waitress will bring your course to you uncooked and allow you to cook your own meal in the specially prepared broth. Usually my wife and I had to wait for a while for the waiter/waitress to come after we are done with the cooking. We were able to finish the meal in about 2 hours versus the typical 3 hour meal. The overall atmosphere was great and the food were plenty. The beef could have been better, but the rest were great. (We had the spanish artichoke dip which was greate (the fiesta was greate too) and the mushroom salad.) If there is a special occasion and you want to treat someone to a romantic dinner. This will be a great place for you. If you have someone special that have a sweet tooth, take them here for the dessert late at night.

I can not count how many time I have been in Las Brisas for Breakfast. If the weather is nice, you should definitely try the table outside. Eating Breakfast while enjoying the sun and the sea breeze. This is what being a Californian is all about. This place is always packed during the weekend. The avg wait is about 30-45 minutes without reservation and the breakfast buffet stops around 11:00 with the final seating call at 10:30am. There, you will have to get there early.
In the restaurant, you will have the typical morning buffet with omelet station, fruits, warm food plates (egg bandits, crispy beacon, ...etc.) and breads. the quality of the food are not too bad. With a window seat, you will be able to enjoy the S. Cal beach scenery while you eat. After the breakfast, it is always a good idea to walk along side the beach to burn some of the calories.

My wife has always been a big fan on the crawfish and the last time we had some, we had to order from East Coast. After telling this to my co-worker, he directed me to this restaurant. Prior going, I went to search couple of sites to see the review of this restaurant, and all of reviews point to a positive experience. Since my wife and I did not feel like pig out in the restaurant, we ordered it to go. The seasoning of the dish is great. My wife and I and two other friends start going through the pile of crawfish. The crawfish is also fresh. We had ordered medium and mild and we were already hot, I can not imagine what very spicy will take like. Prior eating at this restaurant, my co-worker had strongly urge me to order sausage and corns. The corn and the sausage are marinated in the sauce and are very tasty. The spice juice in the corn will def. numb your lip. This is a place my wife and I will for sure visit again. Highly recommended for anyone that craves crawfish.

This cafe is off the main 3rd Main Street, away from the main attraction. However as soon as you approach the restaurant, you see the full restaurant of people. When you first set foot into this restaurant, it has the typical californian setting with a bright yellow wall paper. Starting looking around, and everyone's food looks great. My wife ordered an and I had a banana pancake. Unlike some of the breakfast joint, Jinky put the banana slice in the middle of the pancake. The mixed of pancake and banana never tasted better. Everything else are delicious as well.... highly recommended for anyone that likes breakfast. The only downside I would say is the coffee. Unlike most breakfast restaurant, the coffee is just plain.

This is one of the best places to eat breakfast. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to eat breakfast. The first time I was there, I was surprise by the size of its omelet. Being such a big eater, I was not able to finish the entire meal. As for my favorite dish, even though the name of the store is Pancake house, but I love the corn beef hash a lot more than the pancake. When you order a sunny side up eggs on top of the corn beef hash, and mix them together, nothing can beat the taste. During the weekend, unless you are there very early in the morning, the usual wait is about 30 to 45 min. My wife usually orders the dutch baby which is also very tasty

This place cost a little more than your average fast food restaurant, however the portion is unbelievable. Portion is huge and the food taste great. I haven't had a chance to try their hamburger yet, but I heard great thing about it. I always order the pastrami dip. This sandwich should satisfy any meat craving desire. If anyone feels like eating chili cheese fries. This is the place to order those. You will be amazed when you first order the fries. The downside is the portion is too large, and usually I can not even finish the fries before it gets cold.
