Chez Panisse is a well-loved dining experience in Berkeley. It is very expensive and with good reason -- the food is thoughtfully prepared with delicious ingredients and they can charge what they do and still pack the place. We called ahead and verified that they could make up one vegetarian and one vegan meal, since the menu is fixed. They also have a great little cafe upstairs.
