I usually lose my money here because I just don't seem to know when to quit. Anyway, I like the Tulalip Casino because a) it's far enough away from me that it takes a special occasion or treat to go there, b) the Player's Club gives more cash back than other places I've been. I've only been to the restaurants a few times and they're fine. There is ample parking that surrounds the building. They bill themselves as virtually smoke-free but if you are sitting next to someone you are going to leave smelling like smoke, bottom line. A fun place to go as long as you can handle losing (I just have a tendency to lose, I'm sure lots of people win!).

I just read a post on Johnny Rocket's and that reminded me of how much I like Ruby's Diner in comparison. We have been to the Ruby's at Redmond Town Center and also in Woodinville. I really like their hamburgers (although they have a tendency to fall apart very quickly). I always ask to substitute a turkey burger for the hamburger because, frankly, when Ruby's makes it I can't tell the difference in taste. I *love* their sundaes... Service is okay but not phenomenal. One time we were seated at a table that hadn't been cleaned. It was all sticky and I had to call the manager over who called the table bussing person over who had to clean it really quick. I filled out a comment card and sent it in to corporate hoping to get a coupon (I'm a coupon hussy) but never heard back from them.
Food is good and a little iffy service certainly won't stop me from going there again!

Brat Pack, located in Redmond Town Center, is not only a cute toy store but they give great (albeit pricey) kids' haircuts as well. The kids get to sit on colorful animal chairs and watch videos while they get their hair cut. If your child cries while they get their hair cut, there is an option of you sitting in the chair holding the child on your lap (I had to do this for a time!). The store also has fun toys and a good selection of children's CDs. Haircuts are $20 so we try to go as long as possible between cuts... The staff is attentive and really good with the kids.

I was sent to Borracchini's Bakery to purchase a cake for work a few years ago. Was I pleasantly surprised when I saw a gigantic bakery counter full of the things I remembered from New York's Little Italy. They have all sorts of things from eclairs to creme puffs to cookies to cannoli to cake. Moving on from the sweets, it is also a great Italian deli. I bought a slice of refrigerated pizza from the sandwich case, took it home and heated it up and it was so good!

My favorite casino along the I-5 corridor is the Tulalip. The building itself is quite attractive, with fountains and sculptures on the outside. Inside, they bill themselves as "virtually smoke-free" but I personally don't think that's the case. Bottom line is if you are sitting next to someone who is smoking you are going to leave smelling like smoke. What I like most about them is the player's club. They do really well with giving you cash back. It adds up faster than other casinos. I know I have lost a lot more than I've won but sometimes I do win. Ample parking and the restaurants are good.

This is a great restaurant for Thai food. There are locations at Redmond Town Center, Factoria and Pacific Place that I can think of. My absolute favorite thing to get there is the Ginger Prawns. The dish consist of prawns and mixed vegetables which are lightly battered and fried, along with a special sauce. I also like the beef phad kee mao for a second dish. Food is also available for take out.

This has become our pizza delivery place of choice. They have very tasty, high quality pizza. Also, if you buy one of the two largest sizes of the gourmet pizza, you get a cheese pizza for free. I ask for pepperoni on my free cheese pizza. I think they charge $2.50 for the pepperoni so it's still practically free. They also have lamb gyros which are very good. Their delivery time is about 30-40 minutes to my residence in the Overlake area. We always get the same friendly delivery guy who likes to interact with my kids, and my kids love that. I very much recommend Briatore. Give them a try! Look for their coupon in those coupon mailers we get from time to time.

I think this is a great program for very young babies to kids up to 4 years old. The Gymboree Play location is in Redmond Town Center. They have colorful mats and toys and safe, wooden jungle-gym type equipment. There is lots of singing (just hope you get a teacher with a good voice) and interaction with the children. It gives kids a chance to get familiar with music and movement and all of this is done in a safe environment. The classes are not super-cheap but the cost is comparable to other similar programs in the area. They also host birthday parties which are a lot of fun.

This restaurant has been around forever and is very popular. The parking lot is extremely tight and people tend to make their own spaces. I do not advocate that you park across the street in the Safeway lot. =) We go there for dim sum from time to time and that is quite good. Hopefully, you will be seated in a central location because sometimes some of the carts don't make it to the far reaches of the dining room. The waiting area in the front of the restaurant is kind of smelly because the restrooms are right there but, although unpleasant, don't let that deter you! In addition to the dim sum you can also order off the menu. Quick, no-nonsense service at this place.

This is a relatively new Chinese buffet-style restaurant located in the strip mall that houses Chuck E. Cheese. I tried it a couple of times but the food is just mediocre. I even got take-out once and filled it with a strict warning from the wait staff that you could take anything except for the shrimp dishes! And if you wanted shrimp dishes you had to put those in a separate container so they could charge you more! But then they softened up and said if I wanted a little bit of a shrimp dish I could put it in the regular tray. Too funny. Anyway, tried it twice but like many of the Chinese places around Bellevue it was just okay. In my opinion, it's not worth going there.
