I love the B&O. I go there for brunch on the weekends. The Milky Way latte (caramel mocha) is out of this world (ha ha ha). and the food is really good too. I got dessert for the first time last weekend. I had the profiteroles and even though I had just eaten a huge omelette, there was not a speck of chocolate left on my plate afterwards.
The downside of the B& O is that the service can be really bad. I know, I know, Capitol Hill waitresses may be the worst in the world, but c'mon. When I've been waiting 20 minutes for a refill on my coffee, ask for it, and am told "Yeah. When I get a minute." by a waitress who could not have more than one other table, I get a little bit cranky.
They're not all like that though, some of them are total sweethearts.

If I desperately need the perfect pair of shoes for something, I can pretty much always be assured that Edie's will have something. Their shoes are adorable; I want them all!
The downside of the store is that the sales help is totally hit or miss. Some of the girls will get up and help you and talk and giggle and really make you feel like buying shoes from them. Some of them will sit on the phone and stare at you with a blank expression if you ask about a size, making you feel like you're really in their way and maybe you'd better slink out with your stilettos between your legs.
The shoes are worth the service, though.

When I made an appointment for a brazilian, they gave me to Peggy. Now, I hadn't had a wax in awhile, and I knew I was in for torture, so I prepared myself by having a couple of glasses of red wine pre-appointment.
I sat in the waiting area, casually flipping through a magazine like I wasn't totally nervous about the bush whack to come, when Peggy came in. She was whippet thin with blonde hair, tight jeans, and platform black boots. She looked scary, but was very cheerful.
Then we got into her lair. She ordered me around, yelled at me if I positioned myself wrong, barked things at me like "This isn't yoga class! Don't do that with your leg!"
I can say that this was, bar none, the worst brazilian I have ever had. Not only was she mean, she made me feel very uncomfortable, and it hurt more than it should (which, trust me, is a LOT).
Don't go to Peggy unless you're a total masochist.

So, this is the first day I've used this site, and didn't realize I couldn't do two reviews of the same place without their ratings affecting each other. Josh is awesome, he would get lots of stars, but Peggy was so awful that her one star took precedence.
I got a gift certificate to Aria for Christmas, good for any employee. When I called, the receptionist was very helpful, asking me what I wanted done, and to describe my hair. When I told her it's super curly, she recommended Josh.
The salon was cool, a huge loft-like space in Capitol Hill with the stylists' puppies running all over the place. Any dog-friendly business is all right with me.
I have been searching for years for a stylist who specializes in curls, and Josh is great! I could tell from the questions he asked and the advice he gave that he truly knows curls. My hair looks amazing thanks to him!

The food at Crave is definitely delicious. and they also have distinctive drinks for the non-alcoholically inclined. Although the space is a bit tiny, their servers are extremely adept and somehow manage to maneuver around the tables. They're very talented ladies!
I've never had anything bad there. I've tried pastas, meats, eggs, french toast, you name it. This place is great, and the prices are very reasonable too.
