Hands down. There is no comparison to this theatre and it's MEGA HUGE screen. My first movie here was Star Wars in 1977, then Grease in 1978. I still fondly remember them and the many movies that I've seen there since then. There's a reason that this is an old Seattle favorite - this is the way that movies used to be watched, and the way they come out best on-screen. For big Hollywood blockbusters, this is the ONLY place in the universe to see those movies. Thank God Paul Allen bought it and is renovating it!

Excellent spot to see a movie. This place has so much charm and ambience that it's hard to stay away from here. I've been going here for movies since 1988, and I prefer it over most other theatres (and I live in Tacoma!). It's been through it's share of ups and downs since then....ahh..how the U District changes so! I am thrilled to see certain movies come here, and I'm even more thrilled that it has stayed open and that people support it. This is a unique place to see a movie (balcony and all). I don't know if they still show the Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnights on weekends anymore, but if they do, you HAVE to go! SOOO worth whatever it takes to get there!

Just an incredible old-time Seattle fixture. Good food, funky atmosphere, decent location (if you don't mind the street people), and always a good time to be had here. Great place to go with your friends, especially if you're in your 20s or early 30s. Not so family friendly - more geared towards those who want cheap, good, accessible food and who are on their feet walking or bussing it. Parking can be a hassle down there, and forget getting a stroller in there. Excellent place to start your night out for cheap, with good, hearty, yummy, real Mexican food.

I have been to this Yankee Diner on several occasions, and my ex and I hosted our rehearsal dinner here in the lower portion of the restaurant. We had about 50 people at the dinner. They did an excellent job on the food. Everything was hot and fast, and the drinks were flowing. They even provided us with a microphone and podium. Good food, nice menu, great to work with. That was back in 1998, and I've been there plenty of times since. Always good food, pot roast (YUM) and the drinks are generous. Alcohol ones I mean LOL. Nice setting down there on the water, and the trendies in Ballard stay away, which is such a plus!

We went here after we had taken our big trip to Whistler. When we drove up to Bogus Basin, I thought it was a really pretty drive. I could hardly believe that we were about to go up to a place that actually had snow, but there it was....even more so than Whistler! We were so bummed about this, because when we drove up there, we had the emotional let-down of a bummer of a Whislter trip (too icy, limited snow, and I hurt my knee falling down the mountain and being toboganned off after hitting an icy rock). So we decided to go into the little lodge there, and drown our sorrows (well, not mine, as I was pregnant). The lodge was pretty old and beat up, lots of years of hardcore skiing under it. This is a place where the kids of any income level go to learn to ski, not a nice resort area for the rich like Whistler. Really cheap prices too. My partner was a ski instructor here, and I think he really misses the old hometown haunt. Easy to get to from Boise, it's just a short drive up a mountain from downtown. Nice windy drive up there too, if you don't have a daredevil driver in your car!

When my partner brought back some gross bug from Iraq and never went to see the doctor until his mother and I pressured him to do so a month+ later, we went here to their ER. He was in pretty bad shape, hard to breathe, etc. It was like pulling teeth to get him in to the doctor, but when we got there and were immediately seen, he relaxed a little. I had to fill out his paperwork for him, and the staff were amazingly accomodating with processing the Army insurance he had. We were shown back to a triage bed within minutes, and the doctor on call saw him immediately. He took some tests, and determined it was an "unknown" bacteria he brought back with him, and gave him an Rx for antibiotics. I was so happy that this little, unbusy hospital had such good staff and quality of care. They took first-rate, friendly care of him and me. I was so surprised that it was Catholic too (being in an area filled with Mormons, I finally felt "in place" LOL). I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital and it's ER and staff.

I heard all about ShopKo before I set foot in Idaho. Then we went to ShopKo, and I thought they were playing a joke on me. The prices were outrageous (the deodorant was something like $4 on sale!!), it was hard to find things, the aisles were confusing, and it took a long time to check out. I have no idea what the hype was for.

This is a less crowded and nicer store than the one further down the Blvd. I liked how well-lit and clean it was, and how much parking there is. Right next to the Walmart too. Easy to get to, since it is right by Grandma's house. There's a US Bank location inside this store as well as a gas station. Nice.
