I had the misfortune of having my car broken into over the weekend-- which resulted in a broken driver side window. I have an "old but runs great vehicle" so I was worried that the cost to get the glass replaced would be more than the blue book value of my car.
I was pleasantly surprised when I called Speedy Glass Monday morning and they said they had the glass in stock and could replace it the same day if I could bring by car into their shop-- total cost $230. The car was in by 4:30pm and out by 5:30. It was great to deal with the very nice and happy staff at this place of business.

Yum.... This place always looked empty when I drove by and I wondered how it stayed in business, but when we finally visited there were actually more people there than you realized and the food was good!
Very nice staff and they had vegetarian tamales that were wonderful!
Definitely worth visiting!

If you like bland food, creepy owners/managers, and other shady charters hanging out and leering at the dancers, then you might find a visit here worth your time and money. Otherwise don't give them your business. This restaurant is in the Seattle Entertainment book but when we visited on a Thursday evening for dinner they refused to honor the discount unless we spent a minimum of $50 which was not part of the disclosure in the Entertainment book offer.

Yes, they are fast but they did not install the water heater requested. We specifically asked that they install an energy-efficient natural gas heater and stated that we were willing to pay extra when they told us they had a cheaper one, because we wanted to promote the use of energy efficient appliances. I specifically stated that the gas water heater needed to have an energy factor of at least 0.62 or higher…they quoted us a price of a water heater with a EF of 0.62... well it turns out that they actually installed a much cheaper water heater will a lower EF rating but still charged the same price.

I’ve been seeing Dr Marie Annette Brown for several years (she’s a nurse practitioner with a PHD) and have always felt lucky to have found her. She is very busy, popular and teaches at the nursing school so she doesn’t see patents full time. But she exemplifies what a doctor’s visit should be all about, very knowledgeable about the current research, empathetic, a good listener, insightful, and admits when I’ve stumped her with a question ( e.g. I asked about some test she didn’t know a lot about) and then actually calls me back within a couple of days when she’s looked in to it with her opinion and recommendations, she’s also referred me to several other great specialists when necessary. The few times I’ve needed to go in quicker than they could fit me on her schedule – I’ve seen other doctors in the Woman’s Clinic and had similarly great experiences.
So the only down side to going to the Women’s Clinic at the UW Medical Center(UWMC) on Roosevelt is the billing experience I’ve had with the UW system… which is horrible (I’d almost go as far as saying some of the people I’ve had contact with in the billing department are incompetent or just need to retire e.g. seemed to have difficulty with using the computer and entering or extracting information)I’ve tried to pay bills before over the phone only to find out that some how the person taking the information didn’t do something right so the bill goes unpaid, and I don’t find out until a month or more later when I get another statement (this can be particularly aggravating when you’re trying to use your flexible spending account). Plus, the other down side is that my current insurance seems to view them as a hospital so I have a double co-pay (one for the doctor’s visit and one for seeing the doctor at the UWMC
), which isn’t that big of deal considering the great doctors but the other issues with their billing problems might end up making me go elsewhere.

We had a very enjoyable and affordable dinner at Saint-Germain Cafe on Friday. Loved the shaved parmesan with 25 year old balsamic vinegar! They have a very simple menu but everything we tried was delicious --with a slightly unique slant (e.g. lavender vinaigrette on the salad).
Nice wine list with a wide range of prices! We’ll definitely be going back since its within walking distance of home. The only change I’d like to see is that they turn down the music slightly to make conversation across the table little easier!

This is my preferred place to stay in Leavenworth when I just want a clean and comfortable place to sleep and don't want to spend alot of money. I've stayed here several times with family members in some of the larger rooms/suites. I don't think for the location, cleanliness and the free breakfast you can find anything cheaper in town.

We hired All American Arborist last fall to prune three large pine trees, 2 fruit trees and a tall hedge on a steep slope. The crew they sent out were very polite and cleaned up everything. I found them to be competitively priced and they seem concerned about doing the job right (e.g. they sent their crew back out when one of their supervisors came by our place after the crew had finished and left to check their work and didn't feel it was done right! )
If you need an arborist, they have a certified arborist on staff(we worked with Michelle).

I really hate to write such a negative review, but I just have to say that I believe the "children's play area" at Homer Harris Park is probably the worst I've seen. Yes, some parks may not have any "equipment" meant for children to play on but given that alot of money has been spent in the last two years for this park, and based on the amount children I've seen "using" or even showing any interest in the 2 -foot high donkey and elephant riding statues and the two cement creatures that are about 1/2 foot high (I think they are a cat and dragon that appear to have been added at the last minute when the Park Dept realized the "large" Elephant sculpture they had commissioned was actually less than two feet in height) So I don't feel it was money well spent on developing this community park and I'm very disappointed in the Seattle Park and Recreation Department and the Seattle Parks Foundation for their stewardship of the money both donated and recieved through the Pro Park levy for development of this park.
There is a nice relatively large grass area in the park were people play and relax, last summer they showed movies there, but I have rarely seen kids on the much touted play sculptures since they were installed this spring.. not to mention many of the other features that the community was told would be forthcoming have not been install and my guess is they probably won't be showing up (e.g. chess boards on the tables) .
