If you are tired of rich, creamy ice creams, try some gelato at Bottega Italiana. Their gelato is a refreshing surprise, and they offer many kinds of gelato to choose from. We especially like their fruit-based ones with the intense flavor of main ingredients. Eating their gelato is a great way to deal with the heat of summer, or to make one feel good with some low-fat treat!

We bought our latest mattress at Costco because we realized (after a long search of mattress shops) the place offers good name brands at a reasonable price. Some mattress specialty stores advertise heavily on TV commercials, but their prices are not that competitive. We have been pretty happy with the mattress we bought at Costco. They also offer product delivery (with additional delivery fee.)

My husband and I go to Scarecrow when we want to see great but non-blockbuster international films. The store looks cluttered with so many videos, but they are organized by the country and even by the director. Moreover, the staff there is pretty knowledgeable and helpful if you are looking for a certain movie. You can find very interesting international films in the store.

This place may be for some special occasion. We first thought that most of the items on the menu seem rather expensive. When we tasted the food, however, we realized that they are not priced too high. Each item is prepared with high-quality ingredients and with great care. We enjoyed their house salad with cured lemon curd and truffle oil. The seafood stew was excellent with each fish and shellfish cooked to perfection. The braised rabbit was also superb accentuated with the flavor of prosciutto and foie gras. The wait staff was all professional (attentive but not overly friendly). If you like Mediterranean flavor and would like a memorable dining experience, try this place.

We finally found a great Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood! The restaurant has the usual allay of typical Chinese dishes on their menu, but there seems to be something special about how each dish is prepared. As we are not so big on meat, we really appreciate the fact that this place has a great selection of tofu (bean curd) and vegetable dishes. Our favorite is tofu with black bean sauce (with a strong hint of basil). Try this place, and you won't be disappointed unless you are very picky about the interior decor of restaurants. The wait staff is usually very friendly and pleasant as well.

If you would like to enjoy the fun of indoor barbeque without making your kitchen smelly or smoky, this is the place to visit. This restaurant has various kinds of well-marinated meat and seafood selections for barbequing on a table-top grill. It is really fun to share the experience of the Korean-style barbequing with friends and family members. We also go there for other great-tasting dishes including the hot tofu soup, an ultimate comfort food on a chilly winter night. The service is a little slow but you can get seated without much wait.

Since the restaurant opened about 5 years ago, the place has been serving great sushi together with other great dishes. We are impressed with their consistency; their food is consistently good. We haven't come across any dish which we found disappointing. (I am a tough critic for Japanese food as I am a Japanese native.) If you are lucky enough to sit close to the owner-chef, Taichi-san, you can ask him the catch of the day (his recommendation of the day in the fish selection). The place has also successfully created a friendly atmosphere in which ordering sushi is not something stuffy and difficult. You can enjoy nice cozy ambience with soothing jazz in the background.

While most of known pizza joints here in Seattle have disappointed me, this pizzeria has pleasantly surprised both me and my husband. The place is located in the Columbia City district which seems to be undergoing some sort of upgrading efforts. The pizzas here are what you may expect in Italy or New York. The thin crust baked in their brick oven is the basis for their great pizzas, making the simple Margherita Pizza (just with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella) amazingly tasty. The restaurant atmosphere is casual and cozy; perfect for any occasion.
