The annual whoopie pie festival at Hershey Farm Restaurant was a fun destination for the family. It was quite a bit more understated than I anticipated, given all of the advertising I saw about it on their web site and in print. I would estimate that there were a couple hundred people there all together. The signage for the festival was also non-existent. Those complaints aside, there was good schlocky fun to be had. Lots of whoopie pies and a whoopie pie slingshot to try, whoopie pie races, whoopie pie eating contest. There were pony rides and a classic car show. It held the family's interest for several hours. We're probably on board for next years event.

The MainStay Suites in Mountville Pennsylvania is a nice place to stay for a family vacation. The staff was friendly and the rooms were large. It was convenient to all of the Lancaster County attractions. The make your own waffles in the complimentary breakfast were worth the choice of this hotel all in themselves. Something I learned on this trip that you should be aware of: I assumed that being a "suite" hotel meant that all of the rooms would have at least two rooms to them. Wrong. There is such a thing as a one room suite and we had one, with two little kids...enough said. Make sure when reserving that you ask specifically for a two room suite!

Recently bought a mattress from the Mattress Factory. After shopping around, the Mattress Factory had the best prices by far of any of the retail and on line stores. The salespeople were also very low pressure, compared to the other stores. I am happy with my mattress and with the experience, so I would highly recommend them!

Wonderland Pier is so much fun. It's always crowded and a little on the expensive side, but my kids talk about it all year long. They have a covered area full of kiddie rides, the highlight of which is a monorail featuring Thomas the train. They also have rides for older kids out outside. Definitely a fun place, get some kettle corn (yum) while you are there!

I have shopped here on occasion for bags and luggage. They carry a wide variety of the best types of luggage out there. That said, their prices are on the high side and I can always do better by finding a deal on a website. But, if you need a nice piece of luggage and don't have time to price shop, know you'll get good quality and good service here.

here are several great things about this restaurant and several not-so great. First, the positives. Dining al fresco! They have several sidewalk tables, we sat at one and had a blast people watching on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait for a table, either. Prices were reasonable, our check for two adult and a child was $25. Downside was the food was slow, it took about 25 minutes from the time of order, which seems really long with two under 3's at the table. Also, my food was so-so. So, all in all, I'd go again.

Contacted this business about getting a tree cut down in my yard about 2 1/2 months ago. They said they would put m on the list and come over one day when they were in the neighborhood. Months later I am still waiting. I guess they are not coming. My neighbor used this business and they were happy with the tree being cu down, but the follow -up service was poor. They paid to have the stump grinded and it took another month almost for them to do it.

Superior pet has to be the smallest pet supply business I have ever seen. It's a little tiny store near the corner of Darby Rd. and Rte. 3. I tend to always like local business over chain stores, so I went in to see if they had the kind of bird food that I buy for my pet. Well, they had a teenager behind the counter who really didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the brand I used. My guess is that they probably are a family owned business that if I had hit at the right time would have been more helpful, but, they couldn't help me this time.
