Miyagi's has made it beyond being the New Hot Spot it once was and now has more of an established home in the Sunset Strip. The sushi is ok, really good considering the prices, and on weekends the dance floor is happening. As with all Sunset establishments, parking is a drag. If you can cab it, do.

The House of Everything but Blues, as it's known to many, is a fun spot to watch a show or attend a function. Though the valet charge is a crime, it's worthwhile to skip the stress of looking for parking elsewhere on the Sunset strip. The feel is intimate, and the acts varied.

Well, maybe moms from out of town think this is a really cool spot. But when you're so close to the real thing that Hard Rock is trying to emulate, with Hollywood just down the way, it seems that the artifice just doesn't hold up. On the upside, there's very little mugging and public urination in City Walk.

Magic Mountain has never had much of an appeal to me, but then again I'm not too big on rollercoasters. There are a couple at the park that I like (Riddler's Revenge, Batman) that are smooth and thrilling. But the older coasters (especially the wooden ones) just give me a headache! The upside is that admission prices are always being cut with coupons and promotions. Do a little homework before you go and save a bundle.

This is my favorite place to eat nowadays when visiting Disneyland. I love the options available now for dinig outside the park. Instead of spending twenty dollars for a burger, fries, and coke, I can go and have a gourmet meal at restaurants like Catal. The Prosciutto-wrapped figs were amazing, my mouth waters at the mere memory. The wine selection was, of course, amazing. Highly recommended.

Therefore there are no utenstils at Medieval Times. But they have Pepsi! This is one of my favorite SoCal fixtures. There's just something about getting caught up and leaving your cool behind, wearing a paper crown, eating with your hands, and cheering for your team. It's great fun for families, or groups of friends.

I did a lot of growing up in this amusement park, as an annual passholder I spent most of my teen years there. The rides have become more exciting in an attempt to compete with neighboring Disneyland, but I think the real strengths lie in what Knott's does very well--the Old West theme. I love the coal mine ride, and the log ride, and I hope they never change them.

Because I will gladly fork over the bajillion dollars it costs to get into this place. As a SoCal native, Disneyland was a part of growing up for me, and it continues to inspire that feeling of exuberance whenever I go. Space Mountain is back and better than ever, although I hear that Pirates with be down for some "updates" starting soon.

The Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney is an unusual place to go with the fam, and fun. The tropical decor and background noise is a different kind of environment for lunch, and moving animals put on a show intermittenly. The "storm" frightened my small cousin, but other than that a great family experience.
