The restaurant at Thai Plaza is an amazing specimen. The space itself is huge, suited for banquets and large groups. High-back wicker chairs are a little unusual for a restauarant...but hey, so are cross-dressing Thai comedians! Although I couldn't understand his routine, it seemed from the reaction of other patrons that this guy was a cut-up. The menu was enormous, the food was great, and overall I'd say it's one of the best Thai sit-downs I've ever been to.

This is THE place to go for fish! The tall facade of Island Pacific seemed intimidating to me at first, and inside it was defnitely huge--it's full of so many interesting sights and smells that it's less like grocery shopping and more like an aquarium! Good prices are an added plus.

Although I admit my favorite is the Peanut Butter Moo'd (totally has NO fruit, and it the WORST thing on the menu), there are plenty of other healthy options. Add different boosts to your drink to make it just right.

This is like a second home to me. At Ross I can find a great outfit for Friday night--from shoes to bags, earrings to camisoles--and come away guilt-free. However, I was born with an innate gift for bargain hunting. I can ferret out the finds in any bargain or thrift store, which I know isn't easy for everyone. For me, Ross is like an event--I gear up for it (including stocking my purse with wetwipes because this place is DIRTY!), go in, and conquer. I understand it's not for everyone, but for me, it's an indulgence I don't have to feel bad about.

Their mid day specials are acceptable, but the bottom line is that this is just another Italian joint without anything special to say. Inoffensive, safe, it's an ok choice when you're looking for a nice sit-down with good sized portions.

The cramped aisles are packed with dusty racks of western shirts, cocktail dresses, and JEANS jeans jeans. If you love vintage clothes you'll appreciate having the most unique all culled and put together for your perusal. Although you pay more than you would at Salvation Army, you get the convenience of not having to deal with racks and racks of elastic-waist polyester slacks.

Before there was a kitchen at Father's Office, it was a place to get a beer and play board games with a few friends. These days, it's so busy that Standing Room Only is an understatement! But that's with good reason...the aged beef burgers are absolutely amazing, and they (still) offer the greatest selection of gourmet beers I've seen outside a wine shop. I especially love the Raspberry Lambic.
