Great mexican food at wonderful prices. The portions are huge, the selection is big and the prices are cheap making this an excellent restaurant.
Located right off a busy street, parking can be difficult during certain times of the day. it's more of a fast food type of restaurant but they offer both inside and patio seating. At certain times of the day the line can be out the door because the food is so good!
When ordering a quesadilla it's wrapped and stuffed just like a burritio. I personally cannot eat a quesadilla in one sitting and must take my food home. The fresh baked chips and tortillas they sell are just outstanding and many people just make a trip here just to buy those products.
A great mexican restaurant for authentic mexican food. There is not a lot of ambiance but if you're not looking for that than this perfect for you.

I'm a big fan of Pick Up Stix! Pick Up Stix is fast food chinese but the house special chicken is hands down the best entree available. They offer quite a selection of entrees and they have a llunch menu offered until 3 pm.
You can order in or take out. The entrees can be a bit pricey but if you're feeding a family, you should have enough for a couple of days. A must is to try their specialty appetizer cream cheese wontons. These are outstanding and can be eaten as a meal alone. I've never had these wontons served this good anywhere else.
If you like chinese food you must try this restaurant at least once so you can see what I'm talking about. I could eat here once a week and the food is ready within minutes. It's wok'd fresh and never made ahead of time.

A classy high rise restaurant that recently had a huge makeover to update it's restaurant and look more modern. Mister A's is quite elegant and is definitely a place to go on a first date or to impress a client.
They're open for lunch and dinner and offer pricey but elegant and outstanding entrees. Lunch at Mister A's is breath taking due to the entire restaurant has windows surrounding it on this hgh rise building. From any angle you can see planes coming and going from San Diego airport. It's quite a marvel and something that will impress your client over drinks.
Parking is plentiful in the multi level parking garage and you take an elevator up to the restaurant.

If you're looking for a good strip club, and there are many to choose from in this area, then this is one you might consider. As customary, most strip clubs are quite cheesy and skanky and this is no exception but it's better than most.
Located on a busy street it's not always easy to find the first time around. At certain times of the day parking can be difficult and you may need to walk to your destination. Upon entry there is a bouncer checking ID's and the inside of the building is quite run down.
Nothing great here and a lot of the dancers are not too classy. Definitely a place to visit once but not very often, especially if this is your thing.

Tower Records has been a staple in the San Diego community for many years. At one time there were numerous locations and this was the place to buy records, especially ska, mod and alternative rock.
Unfortunately the times have changed and this location is only one of a few left in existence. It's still a great music store and you can find many harder to find music albums here. The locations is right off of Sports Arena Blvd so parking can be at a premium at certain times of the day. There is definitely an eclectic crowd that enters the store but everybody has one thing in common, music.
Take a visit and I'm sure you'll find something to take home with you.

The Handlery Hotel is in a very convenient location right off the 8 freeway and about a 10 minute drive from the airport. Within walking distance of Fashion Valley mall, you have many choices of hotels when staying in this particular area.
The hotel is nice and offers many ammenities but it's nothing special. Many of the rooms inside the hotel are large enough for shows so you'll find many doll shows throughout the year at this hotel.
If you must stay here it's alright but it's not my first choice. Parking is easy and plentiful and it's in a very good neighborhood.

If you're an out of town guest or your company is here for a convention, chances are this is where you'll be. The San Diego convention center is located down town right along the water so you are offered breath taking views throughout the building. The building was built in the last 10 years and is huge. Many banquet rooms to choose from, ample parking, within walking distance of a trolley stop, and just minutes away from some fabulous restaurants and hotels.
The building itself is mainly glass windows that you see from the outside. There are elevators and escalltors inside along with an underground parking garage. Parking is not cheap and if you live in the San Diego area, I recommend taking the trolley down.

I called my dealership along with my regular auto body shop and asked who they recommended. They both gave this place so I knew I was in good hands.
Within 24 hours the employee came out to my house to fix my vehicle. The price is competitive but they do offer a AAA discount and they are good. My vehicle was done within 10 minutes and it looks beautiful.

Horton Plaza is located in the heart of downtown. Parking can be at a premium in any downtown area but Horton Plaza offers a multi level parking garage. It's not cheap to park but if you buy something in the mall and have your ticket validated your first three hours are free. I learned that the hard way and went out to eat and forgot to buy candy at the mall and wound up paying $25 in parking fees.
The mall carries some specialty stores that you won't find any other place and most of the big name stores have multi level floors. The mall is within walking distance to most everything that downtown has to offer.

If you're in San Diego and don't have a vehicle, try the San Diego trolley. There are at least three different lines to choose from that will take you to different parts of San Diego.
The newly introduced Green Line that provided a new underground tunnel and station that stop at San Diego State University is state of the art and definitely worth the trip. This same line takes you all the way to Old Town with stops in between at the malls and Qualcomm stadium.
With the addition of the Green Line some brand new trolley cars came on board. They are magnificent and have to be seen. Depending on what areas of town you're going to, the clientele might be a little interesting so be careful.
Pricing is not bad and monthly and semester passes are available.
