From the stores name you should be able to figure out what type of store this is, but if not they sell dolls and teddy bears. They offer a huge selection of modern dolls and have alittle bit of everything. The little shop has been in El Cajon for years and it's off the main street so you wouldn't find it unless you were looking for it.
The owner is quite knowledgeable on dolls and is very informative. I went to this shop with my Mom when I was young so the shop has been running since at least the early 80's.
Parking is easy and the shop is never really crowded. It's more like a neighborhood local shop.

This is a wacky place that's been in El Cajon for years. It's basically a church for people interested in science. They have some odd events during the year that involves people dressing up in strange costumes and doing weird things to their vehicles. Whenever they have an event the news media covers the story and you see all the interesting goings on.
It's not my thing but it must be to some people because it's been in existence in the same lcoation for at least 30 years. It's in an alright part of town and they do sell books, dvds, tapes, etc.

You wouldn't think it just driving by this restaurant that's nestled in a neighborhood, that it's a nice restaurant with a spectacular pond. This restaurant is the original location and has been updated recently to have patio seating.
The food is good and plentiful and you can sit inside an enjoy the view of the water and the kids feeding the ducks on the rocks. The wait staff is great and answers any questions you may have about the entrees.
A great restaurant for a special occasion or graduation. The entrees are pricey but it's great sea food. On your way out they have fish that you can buy and take home.
The grounds are beautiful and parking is plentiful and never a problem.

If you need a ride to the airport or even from the airport to your home then Cloud 9 is a good opportunity. Cloud 9 is not exactly the classiest mode of transportation but their big vans will get you (hopefully) to your destination. You can call the night before for your pickup but sometimes these vans do break down and you can be late for your flight.
It can be expensive but it's better than taking a taxi. If you find you need a drive and you don't have a friend or relative to take you, then this is an option that's been in San Diego for years.

A local radio station that is continuous talk radio throughout the day. If you're into talk radio then this is the station for you. They offer up to the minute news and weather, interesting debate topics are discussed and many different hosts throughout the day.
The programming is good and not too many commercials. They advertise heavily around San Diego so most everyone in the community knows and listens to this talk radio station.

A good local news station that is the only news I watch. San Diego offers 4 different news channels to choose from but this station is hands down my favorite.
They offer a morning show every day that's 3 hours long. They offer a M-F hour long broadcast at 6 pm and daily at 10 pm and another at 11. Because they're an hour long they cover more information and stories than most other stations.
They have numerous anchors and many that have been staples in the community for years. The reporters are pletniful and full of character. You can't help but smile and laugh when you watch this news station.

A staple drug type store in San Diego that's been around for generations. They have a good pharmacy inside along with a big selection of cold remedies, candy, makeup and foods that you would normally find at a local drug store.
This store is very updated and modern. Each location is franchised so you'll find different things at each Longs that you walk into.
The staff is very helpful and answers any questions you may have. Prices are very good and their Longs brand products are just great.

I walked into the parts department a few years ago to ask some questions on upgrades on a vehicle and nobody paid any attention to me for 15 minutes so I turned around and walked out and went to another dealer.

Seau's is located in Mission Valley and is owned and founded by Junior Seau (yes, I said Seau) back when was a San Diego Charger and lived here in San Diego.
He's no longer a Charger but the restaurant is still in existence. It's a sports bar more than anything else and the food is ok and the prices are high. On game days the place is packed with Charger fans and seating is hard to find.
Parking is difficult most any night but on game days it's just plain terrible. They have a big lot that is used for parking but it fills up fast. There is plenty of parking in the area but it can be quite a walk.
If you want to be around other fans during a Charger game then definitely go. Otherwise you might want to think of another destination.

If you're a frozen yogurt lover and you've been looking for the best forzen yogurt in San Diego than look no further. This is definitely the best yogurt and most San Diegans know it. The location is quite small and only has a few inside tables. During certain times of the day the line is out the door and wrapped around the building.
The offer a great selection of flavors and the serving sizes are huge! You ask for a small dropped and they drop a small cup into an extra large cup and fill it up to the top of the extra large cup. The yogurt is so good that I can't possibly finish a small in one day. I usually take it home and freeze it and enjoy it a few days later.
The best flavors around and prices are very inexpensive. Most yogurt factories weigh their servings before handing it to you. Not here, they know bigger is better and that's why everyone keeps coming back.
